Target LEGO Clearance Finds Winter 2014

Post by jeffbock2 » Sun Dec 29, 2013 9:13 pm

Found Ninjago Ultra Sonic Raider (9449) $55.98 (30% off), Ninjago Epic Dragon Battle (9450) for $101.99 (15% off) and Galaxy Squad Crater Creeper (70706) for $13.99 (30% off). I bought the Crater Creeper for my son. There were a few of the Crater Creeper sets left but I believe there was only 1 set left each of the Ninjago ones. I am guessing the Ninjago sets were returns from Christmas as I don't remember seeing these the last few times I was there. This is at the Target on route 11 in Cicero, NY.

The best/only deal I found was LOTR Pirate Ship Ambush at Target for $69.99 (30% off) at several of my locals, stock was depleted though.

I've found a few sets just starting clearance - ie., about 10-15% off right now. I can't even remember which sets they were. Most of the popular sets don't last on the shelves past 30% off around where I live, but I don't expect to even see that discount level for another week or two. You know the official big Target toy clearance event is usually at the end of January, right?

I found the Crater Crawler for $16.99 and a few others at a small discount. Nothing worth getting, except a few Batmobile polybags last week at a mere $1.98.

Saw Star Wars Sith Fury Class Interceptor for $62.98 (30% off) at my local Target (there were 2 left). They also had the Galaxy Squad Crater Creeper for $16.99 (15% off). This was at the Target on route 31 in upstate New York (Liverpool?).

My local Target had a couple of the older Galaxy Squad sets at 30% off. I found one Fire Helicopter 60010 for 50% off. Picked it up since I didn't have 1. Lots and lots of new sets in the aisles.

Target in Richmond CA has the LOTR Pirate SHip for $85 (I got a much better deal on it pre-Xmas), and some HF for 30% off. It looks like they might have done 30% off on LR, but all the sets were gone so I couldn't tell for sure. (I wouldn't have bit at 30 off on those anyway).

Mine was similar. The Sith Fury Class Interceptor was marked like that, but actually rang up half off. The Geonosian Cannon was $16.98, and the Star Wars Malevolence Ship was just over $100, about $101 and change. I'm waiting for another discount before I decide to pick up any sets.

Just picked up Pirate Ship Ambush for $50. Still tagged at $85, so scan it if you see it.

Today, the Malevolence was about $83. That was the only one of the three to go down.

It looks like Target will be a bust for me this post holiday season as there are only a few clearanced sets left at any of the stores around here. Luckily, someone returned an old Ninjago Cole's tread assault, because it wouldn't scan so they gave it to me for $5. There was also an online item for a Minecraft "the Nether" for $12.26, which I don't know anything about, but it seemed like a good price.
I did get the Lone Ranger silver mine and a Chima carrying case for 50% off. There were a few other kinds, mostly Hero Factory and a couple of Star Wars sets, but they were only 15% off, so no go.
They also had all of the large Mega Bloks Skylanders sets for 70% off, including the new Swap-Force ship.

There was one last X-wing in my area on sale for $43, $46 after taxes and I broke down and bought it. Should I have held out longer? I don't see too many of them in stores lately, I was just hoping for 50% off as I found on the Tie last year.

I haven't really had time to go out and hunt down any clearances this year but at Target I found the following:

City Advent Calendar 60024: $19.98
LOTR Pirate Ship Ambush 79008: $84.98
Galaxy Squad Warp Stinger 70702: $19.98
Smaller Friends sets at $6.98

Check your Targets because some of the sets went to 50% off today. After a rough start, I finally managed to find some good deals after driving around. All were at 50% off.
Star Wars Endor trooper pack $6.48
Galaxy Squad crater creeper $9.98
Hero Factory XL Furno $9.98 - Ogrum $6.48
Lego City mobile police unit $22.48
Hobbit unexpected gathering $34.98
Ninjago epic dragon battle $59.98
and one Chima storage case that was 70% off for $1. Lots of deals on other toys as well.
Most of the Lego stuff went really quick so there might not be much left.

Found these same sets at the same target but now at 50% off original price. Also saw Unexpected Gathering at 50% off.

MF Ghost Train also went to 50% off. My Target must have found a bunch in the back because they put out about 9 of them that weren't there a few weeks ago.
Also:
Friends City Park Cafe was $10.48
