The TRU event thing was pretty easy, as long as you were there before 12pm. How it works is they have tables lined up with boxes of the individual parts with a sign telling you how many to take. Then they give you a clear baggie and you just go from box to box grabbing your bricks. But there were no tables to build so we just took it home.

The event was supposed to be 12-2pm but they ran out of bricks at 12:30. Then they pulled some Interceptor polybags off the rack and gave those out for 5 minutes, then they had to turn people away at 12:35pm.

Luckily I grabbed the 30244 Interceptor poly yesterday, it's a pretty neat set. It was on sale for $3.49. Brickset says it's exclusive but I bet we will see it at Target.

Oh and note they were turning away adults who had no kids present with them (duh!). A few waited in line only to be turned away at the end.

My TRU only let you choose one model or the other. My kids got a TIE and an X-Wing. They did let me get an X-Wing, too. Annoying that they didn't follow the wording of the promo and let you build both!
