Below is an article via WSJ on the first look on the 2nd exclusive minifig Arsenal. I personally think it looks great and true to the tv show. Would love to own one of the 1500 produced. Your thoughts?

Sure that figure is really cool, but besides that, I have this rant:

I think they release exclusive figures in the wrong way. These SDCC/NYCC promos are negative in my eyes.
* LEGO doesn't make any direct money from the figure; they just generate buzz hoping that they get indirect sales as a result.
* Many people who get these try to flip them for excessive amounts.
* Steers completists/collectors away because these items are elusive.

How to fix it while still having cool promos:
* Make these figures a packed and timed exclusive. Maybe 6 months.
* Release the figure as a monthly bonus without shell package.

Hasbro does one thing right with their SDCC exclusives: you can buy them online on their site. Although sometimes they don't make enough to meet demand. I think if something sells out sooner than 4 hours after online release, you didn't meet demand.
