This is just a heads up that there will be a LEGO sale at Chapters.ca sometime this week. My guess is that it will be ALL LEGO 25% off.

This alone would not be that exciting but you can also use the $5 off coupon.

Bottom line, to give an example, if you buy three packages of their four Series Five figures you’ll pay $31.50 with 25% off and then another $5 off brings it to $26.50. That’s about 37% off – probably as good as it gets in Canada.

However, you can play with the numbers and as closer as you get to the $25 prior to the coupon (the free shipping threshold of $25 is determined prior to applying the $5 off coupon). There is a potential for about 45% off in theory but I am not sure if you can really get to $25 with LEGO prior to the $5 coupon?

Man, I've been waiting for Chapters/Indigo to have a Lego sale for quite some time now. I've been sitting on a bunch of Plum Points for a while now and have been itching to use them!

I was going to pick the minifigures up last them when they had 20% off but dropped on that. If I can get the figures for $2.21 each, then I will get them.

I haven't even got my set yet as I feel that these minifigures are getting more and more expensive and also more repetitive.

I agree - the good thing is that this time around it's at least 25% off and also combinable with the $5 coupon (which wasn't the case last time). The only problem will be that they will be sold out very quick - so placing the order early in the morning would be best.

The last time, it was 20% off Lego, and two days later was 25% off Star Wars toys. This time, there isn't a separate sale for Star Wars. But let's hope it's 30% off of Lego this time around!

30% off would be amazing - combined with the $5 off would almost mean 50% off if you're close to the $25 mark... that kind of sale doesn't happen a whole lot...

Assuming 25% off sale, and trying to maximize discount with the $5 coupon, the potential is up to 40% off. You can get pretty close to that:

$12.95 sets would be 38% off (3 x $12.95 = $38.85 * 0.75 = $29.14 - $5 = $24.14 / $38.85 = 0.62)

$17.95 sets would be 39% off (2 x $17.95 = $35.90 * 0.75 = $26.93 - $5 = $21.93 / $35.90 = 0.61)

$34.95 sets would be 39.3% off ($34.95 * 0.75 = $26.21 - $5 = $21.21 / $34.95 = 0.607)

Since free shipping kicks in at $25, you have have to solve the above to equal 25 so

y x 0.75 - 5 = 25; therefore y = $40, so max discount for one item is 37.5%

I forgot if this website allows free shipping if close to $25 because nothing is exactly $40. Closest is $39.99 and your final price would be $24.992! Hopefully one can buy a paper clip to make it go over $25

I found some cards (scroll down and you'll see what I mean) for $0.01 and $0.10 cents.

Unforunately, those are all out of stock. Cheapest item I can find after that is $0.95. Oh well, I guess we'll just pay $0.95 plus tax for shipping and some random item we don't need then.

Yep, shipping is free once you hit $25 BEFORE the coupon - that's what is is making this so interesting (specifically if you want a few smaller sets).

To give an example:
Kingdoms Outpost Attack $26.95 (Regular) - 25% = $20.21
Ninja Outpost $6.95 (Regular) - 25% = $5.21
-------------
Total: $25.42
Coupon: -5.00
Grand Total $20.42 (of course, plus your province's tax)

All in all it's a 39.8% discount for the total purchase - including the free shipping.
