[USA] Five Below - Creator Clown Fish poly 30025 and more

Post by atmail35 » Mon Feb 27, 2012 3:12 pm

I stopped by Five Below today since they advertised LEGO Polys in their recent flyer. They had a bunch of different ones including the clown fish! All were $3.99. I have not seen the clown fish before in the US. I also needed the mircolight plane since the LEGO Store was sold out when they did that promo last year.

30012 City Microlight Plane
30025 Clown Fish

Five Below does not sell on-line. Also there are no returns when you buy from the store (i.e. all sales are final).

I remember seeing the Racers/Atlantis polys last year. In the past they have had CMF too, but I did not see them this time.

If you live in the Northwest like me (Oregon) I found
30010 City Fire buggy
30012 City Microlight Plane
30025 Clown Fish
30051 SW X-wing

At my local Bi-mart for the same price ($3.99)

Just put together my $3.99 X-Wing (30051) and I have to say it's my favorite polybag thus far, definitely beats out the Anakin's Pod Racer (30057) I got for free from Toys R US during their last star wars promo. And it came with 7 extra pieces to boot lol, all and all it's only 0.058¢ per brick!!!

I think you moved that decimal two places.

Darn... I was near a Five Below last week, but I was running late to lunch so I couldn't go. I really want the fish and the plane.

Thanks for the tip! The fish is awfully cute. Is it really new in the US? I notice it has that LEGOLAND coupon on the back - that expired on 12/31/11. (A friend of mine is looking for a valid coupon and has been frustrated that most bags have expired ones.)

Melsig- that's to be expected as "Five Below" stores typically sell older stock. (of course, their candy, chips & drinks are not old stock)

There is a valid coupon in the purple Friends booklet that you can maybe find at the LEGO Store. It's slightly smaller/narrower than the regular catalog and it was on the Friends free-standing display in our store.

I remember the fish was a newspaper promo in the UK, I don't remember ever hearing/seeing its release in the US. It is odd that Five Below has a ton of them, but they never were sold in Targets/TRU/Walmarts? Was it available in Canada at all last year?

Oh, thanks for the tip about the Friends booklet - I will let my friend know.

Well, in the one review on Brickset of the set, the reviewer picked up the set at a sea attraction near LEGOLAND Ca last year.

I stopped in at the Five Below in Natick today and they finally had 30025 in stock.

I'm pretty sure they weren't available in Canada either. Any kind of polybag is hard to come by up here. TRU is really the only place that carries polys, and even then, it's slim pickings.

The Clown Fish/Nemo was available at London Drugs up here in Western Canada.
