    LEGO Monster Fighters Haunted House

    Postby Legobrandon » Sat Jun 09, 2012 10:04 am

IMHO, the haunted house is a bit underwhelming. It looked a lot bigger in the Town Hall leak video but once I saw it official photographs, it is a bit too small.

I think that's pretty fantastic, and I'm not exactly in to Monster Fighters. If I were to only get one set from the line, this would definitely be it. You get roughly the same amount of pieces as Cafe Corner/Pet Shop in this build. That being said, it does seem smaller than those and the price is $30 more. The price to piece ratio is not as good as the modular sets. It's really unique compared to other official house LEGO releases so it gets points for that.

I will have to get a copy, but will be patient for at least a slight deal.

No way! This thing is awesome! I'm glad to see the Monster Hunter line isn't totally over yet. So we've got at least 4 more items coming from it (Zombie set, Ghost poly, Zombie poly, and this Haunted House).

I think this looks freaking sweet! Totally classic Haunted House. And all of the other mini figures are just gravy. I was only expecting a couple of ghost so everyone else is just a bonus. I kinda wish the Vampyre and his Bride were a little different though (like the Monster and Renfield) since we've gotten them before. I like how they've basically made the Monster into Lurch. Kinda makes me want an Adams Family set now! And I'm glad to see another Zombie, even if its only Renfield yet again. But at least he's in a new outfit.

The price seems very fair too considering this is bascially a modular set. So under $200 for one of those is great IMO. And I like how you can easily add the Ghost Polybag's Grandfather clock to this set to add 1 more ghost and a great addition to a room (likely the front room)!

Love the zombie heads used in the pillars. A bit disappointed in the minifig selection though. Mr. & Mrs. Vampyre alreaady have a home. This must be the summer home. Love the butler & chef though. It'll be fun to build out the rest of the fence & the yard. Definitely needs a spooky tree or two.

"Top floor features gramophone, records and newspaper LEGO® elements."

Am I the only one not seeing them?

    * Ignore, they just aren't in these particular pictures. I'm still having a nerdgasm.

Love it! This design of this house is excellent. Everything from the color palette to the little details like the gramophone to the boarded up windows. There's so much character and personality in this design, much like the rest of the Monster Fighters theme.

This just bumped the Town Hall from the top of my 'next big ticket purchase' list!

It does seem a little empty inside, I mean you can barely fit two Harry Potter minifigs in the same room in Hogwarts castle. That being said I love this thing and will sell a small part of my soul to have it, I can always fill it up with awesome stuff!

Ship in a bottle above the fireplace, zombie column heads, heart in a jar? This is so freaking cool.

The set looks awesome. The price is not but I still hope the next 'regular' modular will be $150.

I'm actually not that crazy about the colour scheme but I'm totally in love with how the house folds open and how much floor space there is. It's so much like a dollhouse, which is so cool!

I'd probably mod it to be more of a regular house -- just take off the boards in the windows and the spider webs :-D .
