VIP Members: 10% off PAB Cups*
For the month of August, VIP members will be able to get 10% off PAB cups if you buy both a large and small cup in the same transaction. My email says valid at Canadian store only, so not sure if American members get the same deal.
It's not a great discount, but it is something. I really hope they bring back the "price of small cup for large" promo.

I think the fact that you have to buy a lagre and small kind of kills the deal.
Re: VIP Members: 10% off PAB Cups*
I really liked the promo back in April where you could get a large cup for the price of a small. This new deal isn't nearly as appealing.

I guess you could save another $0.50 if you bring in your old cups. :-/ So does the US have this deal as well?

Yeah, LegoBrandon, we do. I always look at it this way: I am going to get it anyway, might as well get a little extra off.
Better than nothing

Am I the only one that feels insulted by these non-bargains?
^Better than nothing, only if you were planning on getting it anyway. Not worth the gas to get there for a lousy 10% (and being forced to buy the low-value smaller bucket).

I'm suspicious. You don't think LEGO would do away with the PAB thing do you? All the stores near me have looked very scant lately and the online PAB is experiencing some unnamed shipping issues in the US...

This may work out for me as I'm taking a trip down to a lego store this weekend. What's the normal cost of PAB big and small in the US?

Thanks! I was planning on filling the two large cups that I own, but I might as well fill one large and one small.Legobrandon wrote: Large: $14.99

Going to a Lego Store next Tuesday - will let my son have a large cup and save 10%. Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah, Just Canada....I was replying to legoBrandon's comment on 50 cents off....didn't realise that he may have been referring to the 10%.
So...10% Canada. USA- no.

Apologies for that. I should of have put that statement in a new paragraph. Your reply also fooled me. ;)dho7622u wrote:Yeah, Just the US....I was replying to legoBrandon's comment on 50 cents off....didn't realise that he may have been referring to the 10%.

Those are the US prices. Canadian prices are $19.99 for a large, and $11.99 for a small.Legobrandon wrote:Large: $14.99

Not sure which cup you have a problem with. The cups are 1 and .5 L each. The lids are .15 L. So if you fill the cups so the lids just touch the top of the cups, you get 1.15 L and .65 L. That works out to $13.04 /L for the large, and $12.31/L for the small.cowbug wrote:I think the fact that you have to buy a lagre and small kind of kills the deal.
The small cups are easier to stack pieces in, since they're all fat top, and no skinny bottom. So unless I'm getting long pieces that don't fit in a small cup, I never bother with the large ones.

Well played sir! I was on the fence before but I think I'm going to fill my cups and toast to that math! Pun intended...Relhak wrote:Not sure which cup you have a problem with. Thought I'd share a photo of the pretty cool 'packaging' you take advantage of this PaB cup promo. I didn't have much time to pack the cups as dense as I usually do, but the important thing is that I managed to score about 12 white horses!
