Exclusive minifig with preorder of LEGO City Undercover

I was going to skip the Wii U, but this game is putting me on the edge. Adding an exclusive minifigure to the equation makes me more tempted. I wonder if you can also get this minifigure with the 3DS version.

This has to be the first case of someone being swayed into buying an entirely new gaming console they weren't planning to buy in order to get a free minifigure. I'm sure there were plenty of people who bought LEGO Batman 2 for the Lex figure who didn't want to play the game, but this is the next level

I'm confused. Do we get Chase McCain(the main character) or Rex Fury (the villain) as our mini fig? Uk gets Chase and US gets Rex?
