I saw all 4 new Hobbit sets at my local Walmart. This is in Phoenix AZ.

I'm able to add to bag (from product page, not search result), but the discount isn't coming off the total.
They have one of those messages saying they are having problems and will fix the order.

For the whole set:

I hope the discount and VIP points work without having to call them.
Update: the discount worked! My total became $291.55 (because tax was wrong)

Yeah, I saw that too after posting. Now I'm afraid they'll keep the order, but not give any discounts or reward points. The offer doesn't specify in-stock (ie non-pre-order) items does it? I mean, they rarely have "pre-order" items. And we all know they already have them in stock. They're just waiting for the promo to expire. Stupid Lego.

The funny thing is that the technical difficulties message only appears when you add a hobbit set. I did several example carts reaching above 150 and all got the 10% off as discount. But only the ones with no hobbit sets actually reflected the discount in the final price. The rest had the discount but did not, if you get what I am saying. Also NO holiday set was added to any of my examples. Maybe they are out of stock?
I hope more people report more findings.
Somebody could call them and find out?

That's what I'm afraid of - them saying it doesn't qualify. Its pretty low of them to even put them up on the site but try to get around the deal with that "technical difficulty."

It's the Barrel Escape -- exclusive to TRU. And they try to charge $45. I'm glad that TLG keeps the right to sell retail exclusives themselves. They tag those as "Hard to Find".

BTW: The 10% discount ended up working (no calling). Very cool to know in the future to go ahead with an order even though it shouldn't work.
