Toy Fair NY - what are you most interested in?
Since we've now seen a list of next year's offerings via coverage of London Toy Fair I figured it would be a good opportunity to announce that I will be representing Toys N Bricks at this year's Toy Fair New York! So I'm setting up a poll here and in the Licensed Themes forum to get a good picture of what you're most interested in. I'll be covering everything, naturally, but will try to focus on those aspects that are more important to our community.

None of these lines really interest me, put my daughter will be interested in the Friends and Elves, and my sons the Ninjago and Chima.
Who is General Failure and why is he reading my hard disk?

I want Diver pictures just because we haven't seen them at all yet. We have seen most of NinjaGo and all of Chima for the summer, but those diver sets are still hidden and FBTB will do more license sets than anything else.
1. Divers
2. Jurassic World
3. Friends
4. Scooby Doo

City (Space Port), City (Deep Sea Divers), Legends of Chima, Mixels, and Ultra-Agents for me.

There doesn't seem to be anything new in the theme being displayed at London/NY Toydr_spock wrote:Is there pirates?
Fair, but if there is, I'll report on it.
Re: Toy Fair NY - what are you most interested in?
I'm interested in the Elves sets, but only those with "Friends" colors. I also would like to see the next large Creator set the size of Tower Bridge & Sydney Operahouse. I hope you have a terrific time at the Toy Show!

That would most likely not be shown because it will be a S@H exclusive. The point of the toy fairs are to show off sets that stores will be buying during the year.SEK527 wrote:I also would like to see the next large Creator set the size of Tower Bridge & Sydney Operahouse.

Yeah - I didn't think about that.Brick & Blue wrote: That would most likely not be shown because it will be a S@H exclusive. The point of the toy fairs are to show off sets that stores will be buying during the year.

^^ Yes, the exclusives are not on display at any TFs - and that generally goes for retailer exclusives as well.

Any chance of convincing you to get pictures of Kre-O products at TFNY 2015?vynsane wrote:Since we've now seen a list of next year's offerings via coverage of London Toy Fair I figured it would be a good opportunity to announce that I will be representing Toys N Bricks at this year's Toy Fair New York!

From the looks of things coming out of Nuremburg, it appears Lego has decided to starve us of a non star wars space theme for another whole year.

Yep, not shocking.
What I find funny is LEGO claims that Star Wars isn't Space, it's license and that City, Castle and Space are 'core' themes, yet we haven't gotten Space or Castle themes in two years. Instead we just keep getting new licenses. I'd like some new action theme, but it looks like I have to wait for the Chima replacement in 2016 for that.
Be saving a ton of money, so that's good. :)

What i normally look for:
1. Technics (e.g. Lego 42043, Mercedes Benz Arocs, new power function item) and Mindstorm
2. City (very large ships especially ones that have floating hulls, airports, spaceports, trains)
3. Creator (modular buildings, well designed aircraft like Lego 10226)
4. Educational (STEM oriented like Klutz's Chain Reaction Book)
5. software dealing with virtual design/creations like Fusion, LDD or LDraw
6. any new or strange minifigures or figures (e.g. dinosaurs from the upcoming Jurassic World series)
7. Lego with functional potential ( e.g. working magnifying glass, working compass,
soccer balls/basketballs for the GBC)

Looking forward to the coverage!
Re: Toy Fair NY - what are you most interested in?
I want to know about creator sets, especially any buildings. They always seem to get glossed over or omitted from these types of toy fair reports. I'm also curious about elves and Scooby Doo.
