I wait for water police, and desert police, and mountain police. At least the colors should be neat.

I don't normally buy Lego City, I'm more of a super-hero collector, but that crook's hideout sounds like something that could fit very nicely into a super-hero theme.

Yeah, the crooks hideout looks pretty interesting. I can't wait to see pictures. The other one that caught my eye is the Creator Toy & Grocery shop.

Swamp police?? o.o Sounds kind of cool actually.

And I hope those are Chima battlepacks for a first. I love the Chima minifigs but the sets usually dont do it for me so that'd be awesome to have 20 dollar battlepacks for them.

Another Tow Truck? Converting to USD is around $33 so I'd assume that is $24.99 to $29.99 USD set. The tow truck out now is a big rig size one so I'd think maybe this is a smaller size tow truck with a pickup truck base, for the price I'd hope it would come with a compact car to tow.

They already had a $20 set that came with a small dark red car.

I wouldn't keep your hopes up. It's normally a tiny billing with 10 police related vehicles.

Sounds like the Toy & Grocery Shop will be a companion piece to 31026 "Bike Shop and Cafe" which is cool. Nice to see they're doing a slightly more affordable (than the modulars) town-building subtheme.

I really hope the name of the set isn't actually "Fire Starter Kit".

I was thinking that that has to be a translation error. But if this is supposedly from the New Zealand catalog, it would have been in English so...

That's what I meant, 3rd year in a row there's a tow truck. Both of them were priced at $19.99 US, that orange one a flat bed for cars, the blue one last year for year for trucks. I'm thinking this pick up tow truck will look more like 7638 from 2009.

After seeing the images the Tow Truck is a retro cab with a hook and lift mechanism towing a Blue Sedan. The Snow Plow is a Green Unimog style truck with Orange back.

Unimog snow plow looks pretty good.

Glad pirates are back. More firing cannons and blue coats.

The pirate sets seem very lacklustre. I know it's probably a wave that was shelved back when POTC arrived but surely Lego could have spiced them up a bit before rescheduling them? I love a bit of Pirate lego but I'll be hard pushed to even feel tempted by these sets. Yes it's only preliminary pictures floating round right now but i doubt the sets will change very much. The only carrot Lego could dangle would be unique minifigures. New torso prints and parts in new colours.

The city sets while being much of a muchness year to year do seem to be providing solid designs and just enough variation to keep me interested. Swamp police is a nice side step from regular police just as the forest police was. In fact this wave seems to be a continuation of the forest police almost as though we've reached the other edge of the forest. Off road vehicles, hovercraft and boats, pontoon helicopter, half-track truck. all looking fairly familiar but just different enough. I count three female criminals. I hope the final sets have a unique torso for the females.

Great vehicles look good. The speedboat transport is my favourite. Good sleek design. Excellent colours. The portapotty transport truck made me chuckle. I also love the racing bike transporter set. The new bike cowling is awesome. Looks like it's more in scale with minifigures than the older humongous size one. It's definitely sleeker and sexier. I also like the dune buggy set. That's really nicely designed and cute to boot.
Construction sets aren't much to look at. The tow truck is ok but not awe inspiring. Snow ploug is ugly but snow ploughs are all ugly. I do like the curved panels used to make the plough part. Are those new? Very useful looking.

Chima stuff looks very Chima-ish. Ninjago stuff looks - disappointing. The villain stuff seems interesting with some good architecture and nifty vehicles but the ninja vehicles seem very tame and almost pathetic compared to past ninja vehicles. Hard to really tell from prelim pictures but I'm fairly sure the final product will still reflect that.

Ultra Agents wave 2 looks solid. Best by far is the Ultracopter vs Antimatter set. The copter looks phenomenally swooshable. Antimatter looks very Supervillain in a comic book way.

Basically the winter collection hits all the right notes to please kids. Mostly on formula which is what Lego does incredibly well. For those that like this sort of thing, this is precisely the sort of thing they will like. or words to that effect. Nothing fancy or innovative, just reliably Lego-y products.

They are lacking to me, and anything like the last wave they will be way overpriced ($100, $50, $30 and $13).
