Lego Pirates of the Caribbean set(s) 2017

Post by askthelegoguy » Tue Jan 10, 2017 6:40 pm

There are strong indications that there will be a PotC ship somewhere between $200-$250 (so around 2,000 to 2,500 pieces). I was wondering if you guys had heard anything else. Better question yet, are you guys excited too?

Aye, rumours should be taken with a piece of sea salt. ;-)

Which ship is that? Flying Dutchman?

The rumors are from reliable sources for awhile now. However I'm afraid to tell you that the set was going to be made, but it got canceled. Nah, I'm just screwing with you. :) Jan 24-26th is the London Toy Fair. For some reason there are no photos but we should still get word on a theme or not. I'd guess all will be revealed on February 18-22 for the NYC Toy Fair.

Brick & Blue I can't wait until January 24th. I can understand them hiding figures, but can't they release a picture of the ship?

There are three main toy fairs, London, Germany, and NYC. They all happen within 3-4 weeks of each other but for some reason the London one doesn't allow pictures. It makes no sense to anyone. Every year there are pictures of the outside displays and they cover the top so you can't see in. It's insane.

But we might get word on a theme or what boat it is at least.

The mini figures aren'y shown for license sets a lot of the time because of movie spoilers.

Okay, I guess I have to patiently wait it out then.
