after tax at $4 per minifig is why I do not buy these "battle pack" or "minifigure pack" (s) - there are cheaper alternatives.

Easy way to fill up your Fire Brigade which seemed to be lacking a little in the minifig department, still kinda overpriced for minifigs and not much else.

I know they're overpriced NOW, but the mummy battle pack was 50% off and then 75% off for quite some time. I can wait for this one and see what happens. I'm not a fan of the plastic made to fit these figures either. They are harder to store. With the amount of parts included one of the tiny boxes would suffice.

I don't know about anyone else, but I thoroughly enjoy assembling minifigs, so I don't like these battlepacks with pre-assembled figs. for taking away my fun!

It really should be $9.99 at the most. There was the cop set that came with 4 minifigures and some parts for $10.

This is pretty pointless, IMO. Nearly every Lego city is overpopulated with cops and firemen; the fact that this is overpriced doesn't help at all.

I totally agree, my almost 7 year old on the other hand, thought this was a pretty cool set, and it added to the stuff he has, makes for a pretty decent fire crew, still lacking a station (of course there a couple older stations around, just not at his disposal at all times.
