That red car is pretty fancy compared to previous 'bricks and more' sets.

Good containers. Teach the kids to sort early. :)

Wish the top were see through.

Bricks and More sets can be hit or miss, these look like hits to me. I'm going to assume the price point on these isn't the typical $10, are these going to replace the $15 brick buckets, or will they come in at some new price point?

As parts packs, these look pretty good. New bike, new color (I think) on the tree, new fender piece on the red car, an uncommon door in the blue set, the umbrella piece in the pink set, I like to pick these up just to get some interesting parts.

This is the first I've heard of "bricks and more". Is that an official term LEGO uses? Does it just apply to the "bucket and tub"-types of sets?

As the father of a boy that will be 4 in 1 week, I LOVE this. He still loves his Duplos, but he always wants to play with his older brother's Legos, many of which are just too advanced/difficult for him to manipulate well. I see this as a great bridge between Duplo->Lego, which I'm sure was the intent.

Granted, the demographic of these sets are really narrow (only a year or so in age), but to me, it represents the filler of a gap I'm experiencing now.
