Earlier this week, Amazon Japan has revealed official images for the Cartoon Network LEGO Mixels Series 2. There will be three of each Blue, Orange and Brown Mixels. Product release date is expected to be on June 6th, 2014 and you can now pre-order yours at Amazon Japan. (via Brickset)

Love the trans blue pieces! Only problem I have with Mixels is they don't seem to stay in stock very long hehe.

Really? I assumed that they were the round eyeball pieces (in most of the other sets) with helmets on them. if they are minifigure heads I must have them

Yeah, I noticed that they had to be Minfiigure heads when they were attaching minifigure helmets and hats to them - there's a lot of this technique in series 2 and 3. There's the one with the helmets above, Balk, one of the orange tribe members, has a pair of baseball caps, and one of the series 3 magic/purple tribe actually has witch hats for eyebrows/lids.

I really have no interest in the Mixels as a line, but the parts in them, that's another story.

I am intrigued by the line because it's a relatively risky divergence from the 'regular' LEGO sets we've seen in the past in terms of design. Naturally, I love them for the pieces as well, but I think the design of the sets can be really inspiring to kids. I've seen this with one of my daughter's friends - he's all about rebuilding them into some other creature.

My son is similar, he likes to make his own creations out of the pieces.

Personally I like them as a whole as well as for parts.

Does anyone know if Series 1 is/will still be available now that 2 is out? I've yet to buy any of the Infernites and fear I may have missed out.

I have seen them at target and meijer still.

Thanks, will have to check. I saw most of Series 1 is sold out on the LEGO Shop site except for two of the Infernites.

All of series 2 are currently marked as sold out. That was fast!

Hopefully that's only temporary. They had a slew of them at the LEGO Store in Danbury, CT today (was there for the MMMB). Picked up all of the Fang Gang.

I'd like to get the Frosticons. These seem like they could keep me busy in car rides. I always wished I could bring LEGO along with me to play with. I think this is the perfect opportunity!
