2016 LEGO Super Heroes Sets: 76044 76048

The final images that have been revealed on the LEGO.com cache servers are two new LEGO Super Heroes sets. The first is LEGO 76044 Batman v Superman while the other is LEGO 76048 Iron Skull Sub Attack. Pretty exciting sets for 2016! Thanks to whung and EB for the news!

The Batman v Superman set doesn't look like anything special, but I'm digging the submarine! Is that some kind of sub-aquatic Iron Man minifig?!

These pictures lend credence to the rumors that we're going around about 2016 upcoming Lego marvel superhero sets. For the standalone sets we could see a space mission set including Captain Marvel, big figure Thanos, spacesuit Iron Man, spacesuit Captain America, and Hyperion for the January winter 2016 release along with the Iron Skull Submarine set. For next years marvels captain America Civil War sets, we could possibly see three different sets: a set including Black Widow Crossbones and Falcon, a set including a micro figure Ant-Man and giant build-figure Giant-Man, a set including Black Panther and his jet. Agent 13, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, and Winter Soldier are also going to be included in one or multiple sets. These rumors are true, I am really excited to see the big figure Thanos, Captain Marvel hopefully with a mohawk helmet, Black Panther and the micro Antman/Giant-Man characters.
