LEGO Lone Ranger 2013 Polybag Sets (30260 30261)

Post by Toys N Bricks » Fri Jan 04, 2013 7:50 pm

The LEGO Lone Ranger 2013 Polybags have been revealed, courtesy of Flickr User motayan. LEGO Tonto's Campfire 30261 and LEGO Lone Ranger's Pump Car 30260 will both contain one minifigure. Unforunately, it seems like LEGO is only trying to sell the minifigure in polybag sets these days as you barley build anything.

I'm not even sure they are 88 pieces between the two sets, certainly not 88 pieces each. That Tonto one is barely more than what a collectible minifigure series figure would come with. Nice cheap way to get the two figures though if you don't want any of the sets.

These are neat and all, but I agree 100% there isn't much to them aside from the MF...

That's unfortunate, hope it isn't a future trend.

My guess is that these might be promotional polybags and hard to get.

I'm fine with these if they'd just put exclusive figures from expensive sets in them. Don't waste our time with figures from $20 sets in them. Something from a $100 set is what I'd like to see. But of course Lego knows exclusive figures in high priced sets is part of their selling point.

I am not sure why they make MF polys based on the main characters. It only benefits the market segment of people who are interested in the license but who are on the fence to buy a full set. I love it when they make polys based on background characters and then almost everyone can enjoy them and probably buy multiple. The Mirkwood Elf and Target Practice polys are a perfect example and they disappear from the pegs immediately. When you see a 100 Harry Potter potion polys just lingering at Target for 2 years, there is no wonder why.

Exactly! The Mirkwood Elf and Uruk-Hai poly bags are going to far out sell the Frodo and Gandalf ones. Give us more army builders to buy.

Anyone have an idea when these will be released? Think Canada will get them?
