They will probably be a hot-seller for Christmas - I'd say to get them/order them as early as you can!

Exactly! I just don't see the appeal of these sets... lots of 1x1s, common colors, no unique pieces, overpriced.

At least I can try to cash in on the crazy wave this time.
I have mixed feelings about new releases: I can't wait to see and get the new sets... but I can't figure out where I'm gonna put them or store them.

You'll have to ask a kid about the appeal. The printed character faces can be considered unique pieces, and they sell individually for almost as much as the entire 21102 set on Bricklink.

^That's a tad erroneous. There's a total of 5 unique printed pieces, and they are *very* slow sellers at $2-3 each.

Pretty much my thought, but I'm not even sure they're good investment material. Very few bits video game of merchandise are actually desired 5 years down the road: Sure there's Pac Man, Zelda, Tomb Raider, and Mario, and Halo....but compared to the hundreds of flash in the pan trends...those are long odds

The initial was a hit, after christmas it was a miss. Lego underestimated and underproduce the first set, therefore it was out of stock fast while the demand rises given the wrong idea that this was a great investment. Yet look at how much they are selling for online now, people are lucky if they break even. These are not limited sets, after the lesson learned from the first set, Lego will not underproduce these, therefore no need to jump on them thinking they are great investment when they are truely not.

Agree, and what was hot last year might not be a hot seller this time around.
