This is a design that has evolved a bit over time. It started here.
Hecaton Frame Evolution, on Flickr.
Then grew to this.
Hecaton Family, on Flickr.
Which lead to some experimentation.
Hecaton Close Combat Monster, on Flickr.
And some modification.
Hecaton Red, Mk.2, on Flickr.

I really like a lot of what's going on with these, but I think the head is a bit too plain. Not sure how to improve upon it, though.

It can be replaced by anything that can mount to a Technic Pin. So I could possibly pop a minifig head with some neat looking third party helmet on there instead of the Technic piece I have now. It's not something I've really thought about as I'm fairly happy with the one I use now.vynsane wrote:I really like a lot of what's going on with these, but I think the head is a bit too plain. Blue Hecaton, on Flickr.
My newest Hecaton design. You can see I've switched to Ball Joints for the shoulders instead of Pneuma-Ts.
