May 2011 sets now at Lego Stores

Post by doodlebird » Mon May 02, 2011 12:46 pm

today at the lego store,
i saw the may 2011 new city stuff (space shuttle line and marina line)
also the new atlantis sets and creator lighthouse.

i found these odd because they're not up on the lego.com site yet.

they thought the alien conquest & kingdoms will be in tomorrow...
just in time for the Free ARF trooper promo.
:)

the new 4645 harbor looks pretty nice,
but there is a boat that's 64 pieces for $19.99. ouch.
all of the sets with boats have unfortunate price/piece ratios...
i guess those giant boat pieces are expensive.

I think it is common for LEGO B&M to get them a little early.
To help with possible rush on announced release date, like a "soft release".

I just came from the Anaheim, CA store and they had everything! Some of the sets look great.

My favorite is 7189 - Mill Village Raid
I also bought 5770 - Lighthouse

Spotted but didn't buy:
Kingdoms: 7187, 7188
Alien Conquest: 7049,7050,7051,7052,7065,7066,7067
Atlantis: 7985
Space (City): 3365,3366,3367,3368
Marina (City): 4644, 4645

And of course, they had all the current PotC sets, including the hard to find Queen Anne's Revenge (which I grabbed to round out my collection).
Build with confidence by buying parts from our BrickLink store at http://www.DadsAFOL.com. Only store with instant shipping and payment options!

The Bellevue (Seattle) store has all the newest City/City Space sets, the 2 new Atlantis, Creator Lighthouse Island, and...I think that's it. Kingdoms and Alien Conquest were due tomorrow too.

Lego store in Oklahoma City had all the new sets mentioned above and also had the new #10218 Pet Shop!!! :D Same price as all the other modular buildings (149.99). 8-) Picked it up with some of the new City sets (#4644, #4645, #3368), a couple of the Alien Conquest sets (#7066, #7065). The #7189 Mill Village, and the Creator Lighthouse Island #5770. :D Thank goodness I got my tax return a couple of weeks ago. Needless to say I won't be going to the Lego store any time soon. :(

Nice!
Should keep you busy for awhile.

Also can you post a pic of the pet shop?

I was just about to post the exact same question. I cannot find pics of the pet shop anywhere and the speculation and mystery are intriguing. Take a picture of the box for all of us here.

Rumors on Eurobricks.com are that the set will be released May 10th. Nonetheless, I would absolutely love to see pictures before hand!!

Thanks should go to Tazman! :)

I'm quite excited for this set. I am glad now that I've waited on the pictures of it before making another huge purchase so I can get this when it is released with a clear conscience. :P

Love the sand blue and light yellow (I think?) elements.

I am kind of disappointed in this set. It's not as high as the other two sets. I wonder what it looks like next to green grocer. Don't get me wrong, I will still get this set. My guess the pieces are spent furnishing the inside.

I'll have to check out my lego store when they have it built. I'll probably play with it there. You know for some reason I thought that the deathstar would be on sale today because they actually built one recently. No joy.
