This is a cute little set. It appears very well designed with some impressive details. The bells are a very nice addition, and you certainly can't beat that low price. Not bad LEGO.

Picked one of these up on Black Friday (Thursday night) for $3.99 at TRU. It is cute and makes a great little Christmas ornament.

Yea and not long ago the dollar was worth more. Gotta think, European company, American dollars, we will pay more and more as the dollar slips.

Yea, but the dollar has not dropped in value in that much of a ratio to justify the ever-increasing prices in the past year. Also, the Euro has been losing it's value lately as well... to the point where there is even talk about the Euro crashing if the financial crisis over there can't be contained...do we expect price reductions? I think not. I don't buy into that as a justification for polybags being $2.99 last year, and are up to $4.99..... It's getting to a point where polybags aren't worth it... better to buy a set to get a minifig or two and more parts.

I never found this at my local TRU, I was hoping to get them on Christmas clearance like the tree and snowman last year, but I never even saw them at full price.

For some reason the WM near me never has polybags. I've never seen them anywhere in the store
