I want the classic space ones! I remember seeing these in the LEGO store before I came out of my dark ages. Wish I bought them then. Don't need the blue one as I can get that from the minifig display set.

I wonder what the threshold purchase is for the VMFC sets... must be a lot higher than the magnets of previous years...

I'm guessing the free Monster minifigure bag is for USA TRU only and not Canada ones?

Reading some post on brick set, it appears you need to have purchases of $60 or more, to get a vintage set.

Yes, but I hear that in the fine print it states that Friends, Ninjago, Technic, Friends, video games & accessories are excluded, that is, they won't count toward the required $60 purchase. Moreover, if your look at the fine print of the fine print, it clearly states that Exclusives, Star Wars, City, Monsters, and LOTR sets also won't count toward the required $60 purchase. In addition, in the fine print of the fine print of the fine print, it clearly states that of the remaining sets, only those set numbers that end in an odd number and those released within a +/- 2 days of a full moon are eligible. Finally, additional exclusions will apply at B&M stores and online. But otherwise, I think this is gonna be a great deal!

LOL! Sorry all. I am of course joking but I just couldn't help myself.

$60 in lego sets just to get ONE of those vintage series???

Sounds like they really want me to return all my sets to Wal Mart for store credit. I'll trade $240 cash for $240 Wal-Mart gift card + free vintage minifigs

I don't believe that the packet includes the 4 figures. I think that it is just the accessories. The package says 11 pieces so....:

    Skeleton- 5 pieces
    Small Jewel
    Cluster of jewels
    Rat
    Spider
    Web
    bat

That picture with the parts around it is a sticker sheet. It comes with the items listed above in dho's post and the sticker sheet.

As a side note I have heard through the grapevine that TRU is going back to their ultra christmas markups on LEGO starting Monday....so jump on the first Bricktober sale on Sunday before everything goes up further :(

Too good to be true, and if it was you'll bet there will be a long line up tomorrow morning, yet as someone already clarified that it is only the accessories and no figures.

Local TRU gave away the small poly bag with skeleton and stickers but they also had a giant box for in-store play... i.e. make your own scary scene... The bricks were being unpackaged from large plastic bags and dumped into boxes. Various components from monster line were included in the mix. I wonder what happens to all these bricks once the event is over... LEGO store probably puts them out in pick-a-brick after events but does TRU throw them out or return to LEGO?

Each store probably has different rules but I've had lots of conversations with the hostess at our TRU. She did not pass out the build bricks as I've read about other stores doing. I'm guessing she put them in storage to pull out for future build events to help guarantee that all kids can build in the future. She's really nice and always worried about kids not getting any legos because the events are crowded so these could be backup blocks.

She has said in the past that the stores are supposed to send back the pre-build display pieces to be destroyed but somehow she gets away with keeping them and raffles them off every once in a while during the build events. She usually breaks sets up into smaller pieces so more kids get to win also.
