Since he is red in color, he must have been boiled and someone ate two of the legs! ;-)

Cute little et, I love these things and almost wish I had a child just to use for free LEGO. :)

Did they up the age? I thought these events were for 5-13 year olds?

I think it's always been 6-14, but my daughter has been going since age 5. Each store is different, but they tend to allow younger kids if they are "regulars" at the store. They don't give them to adults, so unless you look 14, you may need to recruit a kid  ...then of course you have to convince said kid to give it to you ;-)

I'm 28 but when I bought alcohol the other day the woman thought it was a fake, so I'm close to 14. ;)

This is a great model. But man the line was awful! We got there at 5:15 and waited almost an hour.

The set came with an instruction sheet! And there were 3 spare parts which my daughter put on the crab's back to make it a "decorator crab". ;-)

We were in Milwaukee for Summerfest, and since this was on the same day we went to the LEGO store when we were done. The line was really long. We've never done a Mini Model Build, and my kids didn't want to wait in line so they decided to skip it and just visit the LEGO store. When we got done there we spent about an hour in Barnes and Noble and by the time we were done there (around 8pm) the line was gone. We stopped back at the LEGO store and they still had sets left so my kids got to do it without waiting in line.

It's a nice model, but I can't imagine waiting in line for an hour or more for the experience and a few parts. I doubt we'll make the trip in the future, but if we happen to be in town then I suppose we'll try again.
