Is there enough detail though?

^ If the model does get made into a set it will probably be modified by LEGO designers like all the other winning Cuusoo projects did.

If this does go through, I hope they increase the scale and add more details. A power functions version with remote control would be cool. I've got the whole Discovery Channel space series and I could see this fitting in with those models quite nicely if it were done right.

Re: LEGO Cuusoo Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover
Could two (real) space related Cuusoo projects be a bit much in the four Cuusoo sets to come out. I'm referring to Cuusoo #2 Hayabusa which is currently on sale.
Just a thought to consider.

It is too bad this project wasn't started sooner... I would think the best time to sell this set would be now while the Rover is in the news. By the time this set comes out (if it passes review), it'll be out of the news and the only people likely to buy will be astronomy buffs.

The project was actually started November 15th 2011 but unfortunately it didn't get much attention until the real Curiosity was close to landing.cornbread wrote:It is too bad this project wasn't started sooner...
