This is big news... And at first glance a very impressive list. Can't wait to see images!

Well... there goes another series. Leaves me wanting so much more. :eh:

Also, Hoth Bricks informs us that, "We already know that the 9 series scheduled for January 2013 will be packed in bags of silver." The pic below also informs us that Series 10 will be in a golden theme.

I know these lists have been pretty reliable in the past, but this list is a little odd to me...especially the very specific character names (Dr Splitz?).

Also, I wonder if the gold bags for series 10 are signifying the final (at least for a while) series. Seems like it would be a good jumping off point.

"The Golden Series". You have a good point, S10 would be a great number to end this line in.

I hope this isn't the last series, there are still a lot more figures I'd like to see them produce. I think S9 characters will be better than S8, as they seem more original.

I don't see them ending this line anytime soon. Its like printing money for the. There is no end to the amount of figures they can come up with. To end the series would be just saying no to easy money.

I'm all in. I'm getting used to stares in the toy aisle as I feel up the bags. :P

Sounds like a good series. I'm intrigued by the "Battle Mech."

Dr. Splitz is probably a reference to dr. jekyll and mr. hyde (Splitz as in split personality) which would be pretty cool.

Interesting point there. I hope you're right. I would love me a Dr Jekyll/Mr Hyde minifigure.

I would imagine the copyright on Dr. Jekyll has expired by now but maybe there is some kind of corporate policy on it?

Agreed this is an awesome idea. I wonder if he will have a top hat with hair underneath it (to cover his face)?

For every series so far I've built a display case out of LEGO that's the color of the packets but I'll have to make an exception for series 9 & 10. ;-) Grey and tan would be reasonable substitutions I think.

Can we see your display case creations? Thanks
