Re: May 2014 LEGO Store Calendar

re the question "Does anyone know what Star Wars sets will be on sale for May the 4th yet in the US?" Here in Australia, via lego.com, every Star Wars set they currently have listed at LEGO is 15% off. EXCEPT the Sandcrawler. People from the US and UK were whinging and whining saying how c...

Gee I wish we had sales like this in Australia. You guys really have no idea how lucky/fortunate/blessed you all are, even getting 50% off LEGO!!! Not only is LEGO almost double the US price here, when it is on sale, you are lucky to get 20% off. 90% off?!?!!? OMG! We don't even get the polybags in ...

Well my couple of curiosity questions are as follows: Why are we getting 10 small LEGO sets? None of those would crack the 500pc count. Why in the world would they change the blasters (echoing the thoughts of others)? Why so many remakes of sets we already have??? End of the day, these are 'Star War...

It's got 200 pieces more than Jabba's Palace...so it is going to be at least US$120. Joy, means it will be over $200 in Australia!!!

A friend of mine in the US got me 3, plus an X-wing.

Given the B-wing is $300 here, getting them was a no-brainer for me...

Re: LEGO Star Wars May the 4th Be With You Poster (2013)

Does anyone have info on the US LEGOShop May 4th deals yet? I've seen on here detail about European deals, wondering what the US ones are. Here in Australia we get nothing, but I've got some friends in the US who pick up bargains for me.

Re: [REVIEW]: 9492 Tie Fighter

Thanks for a great review! Agree with you on the minifigs...they are great! Funny enough I only finished building this set last night, while being glued to 'The Grey' with Liam Neeson (don't remember Qui-Gon swearing so much in Star Wars! LOL!). The final build is much better than previous versions....

Re: Star Wars 2013

I must be the only one who much prefers star wars sets based around the original movies? I guess I'm just old. While some of the episode 1-3 stuff isn't to bad, I feel like the clone wars stuff and the old republic stuff are poor alternatives. On the bright side this will save me a bunch of money. ...

Re: Star Wars 2013

Have ~always~ loved my Star Wars LEGO, since I first started collecting in 1999. However, I really feel that LEGO have lost the plot with this genre. Lord of the Rings, with it's mid-2012 release of incredible sets, is the new benchmark for LEGO. What makes LOTR incredible is all the bases and the f...

$150 in Australia!!! WTF!?!

Seriously, you need two jobs here to try and have any sort of decent LEGO collection! And that's before my 3 boys start asking for LEGO!

Thanks for a great review! I love how there is always whinging and whining about the cost of LEGO from people in the US...well, not always, because as that last person said, they would pay RRP for it no matter what. Here in Australia, let's check some of the prices. $24 for Gandalf Arrives. $60 for ...

I've got a few on order...here in the land of expensive LEGO prices (Australia), that set is $22.99, so I can't wait to only have to pay $14 for it!

...hate that I can still buy these sets from the US (eg.the ATAT Walker) and get it shipped to Australia, and the TOTAL cost incurred is LESS than the Australian TRU prices...and yes I know TRU prices are always higher, but even the normal KMart, Target, Myer prices are waaaaaay more than buying fro...

LOL, I know Tolkein is dead :)

Jackson might not own the films...but his role as director, or whoever brought the characters to life from the pages of the book to the big screen, someone out there must be saying 'no' to a LOTR LEGO genre because it would be a hit for sure!

Re: LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 3

The Elf looks awesome! Finally something that resembles Lord of the Rings in LEGO!

Why oh why has LEGO not yet come out with a LOTR genre? It would be incredible!

Maybe Tolkein / Peter Jackson won't let them?????

To everyone in the US, UK and Canada (and the rest of the LEGO loving world), a big warm hello from Wollongong, NSW, Australia! We are sooooooo deprived of LEGO here, I salivate at all the LEGO sales you have overseas! Not to mention the prices! Eg. The Battle of Endor set...US$99, here it is $220!!...
