Don't worry you didn't miss anything. The prices were way over what these were worth. You could've gone out and bought all the sets in the auction for less than people bid it up to. Not sure what those people were thinking.

Just called my local store. They said they are not doing it and know nothing about it.

I did. Just disappointed to open the shipping box (which looked terrible) and confirm that the LEGOs had been crushed. Partly Amazon's poor shipping/packaging and mostly UPS' fault. The shipping box actually had holes in it.

Got mine but boy did UPS do a number on the box. Completely crushed. Seals opened up too.

I got both of mine. Unfortunately both seals were busted open on both boxes. Why? Because of Amazon's standard crummy shipping. There was no padding of any sort, paper or otherwise, to keep the boxes from moving around. So my guess is that as UPS threw them the seals lost their hold. Now I have to f...

I received a large box from Walmart that had the Grand Emporium inside plus the 'crumpled brown paper' packing material mentioned above. ncbarrett, was your GE shipped in a box or with a label slapped on the lego box itself?

That stinks SlickP. Did you have it shipped to your house? I avoid that for the very reasons you mentioned. I pick it up in store since they seem to be better that way. The only issue then is picking it up in some stores since they are slow as molasses at the in store pickup window.

I had to email them to get them to ship the pirate plank out to me. Otherwise I don't think I would have gotten mine either. I don't mind them shipping it out later but the whole thing struck me as if they were trying to not ship it out unless I contacted them first. Normally LEGO doesn't seem to do...

I agree with hawksfan. Their CSRs are hopeless. If they can't get it right now, good luck getting them to fix it later. Think about it. This is TRU.
