Re: LEGO December Holiday Sale
Interestingly, the family house it back up to $66. The Hobbit game at 19.99. Others seem to match. david Amazon is not selling the Family House, that is a third party seller. You have to look to see who is actually selling it, if it doesn't say, "Ships from and Sold by Amazon.com", then i...

Re: LEGO Stores & LEGO Shop Black Friday 2013 Sales
If you have the receipt from the box, the packing slip, they can use that to take the return in store. They still actually return it as "no receipt" return, but it doesn't count against your total limit for such returns. If you do too many "no receipt" returns they will cut you o...

Re: eBay - Haunted House Deal
Hey look... the sky... it's blue! In other news, Haunted House selling for below retail on eBay is a drop shipping scam using stolen credit cards, it will end up getting the buyer's address banned and cause them all sorts of headaches they get to sort out later. Whee! There are no discounts on exclu...

^ Of course, having just said all that, I did pickup a few things for the kids... the 50% off small items isn't bad for stocking suffers, there is enough there to end up with $150 worth of stuff to get the holiday set and gift card. Nothing out of this world exciting, but sure, ok, they can have $150.

Amazing discounts on magnets, duplos and hero factory enjoy the black Friday Yep, a huge long list of crap... I've been saying it for awhile now, ever since TLG decided they didn't need resellers, then they didn't need to discount exclusives... They are getting a bit big for their britches, seems l...

Re: LEGO Stores & LEGO Shop Black Friday 2013 Sales
Honestly... what is wrong with LEGO? If you can't run a site then hire someone who can or don't run one at all. Frankly, I see a lot of people posting excuses for LEGO, including, "they are a manufacture first, a retailer second, this isn't their primary focus". Well then, if you can't do...

Some of these sale prices are crazy... AT-TE for 38% off? For a set about 6 months old, Star Wars, the week of Black Friday?
Nuts I tell you! :)

Castle didn't go back up, Amazon ran out of stock. If they get more stock back in, it should be the same price, at least until they raise the prices on everything.

Re: [US] TRU BOGO 50% 9/22-28
^ Nothing wrong with your deal, but it really isn't much of one, for all those hoops. Summer Riding Camp is $99 in the LEGO store or online, and you get the VW Camper Van. Chima Chi Temple is $90 or so at Target right now. So a "deal"? Meh, too many hoops to jump through to buy for the pri...

Raising prices the same day you have a "sale" should be a crime.brickmont13 wrote:TRU jacked up prices for this sale, Vamp castle is $130.
Actually, I think it is in many places, but no one seems to enforce it.

Re: Selling Platform
Quick note, amazon has very high traffic, but is a sellers worst nightmare in regard to thier terms and conditions. You are required to accpt returns even if the item has been opened. You have little to no recourse against bad buyers returning damaged goods. And if you upset more than one buyer(for...

Not even shoprunner 2 day free shipping works with that promo code, boo!
That being said, I added a $20 set that was "on sale" at RRP. :) and got free shipping that way...

edit: I will say, at the right price point, this set can be fun... I want to say that I paid about $95 for it, and that is an ok price. Not great, but ok. $120 is too much, anything under $90 is fair.

Re: [USA] LEGO Star Wars Malevolence on sale for 24% off
It is an ok build... My son put this together about two months ago, but it sits on the shelf ignored because it just isn't that fun for him to play with.
He much prefers the older 8039, it has a larger interior to play with and is a more interesting ship to him. Expensive now however...

Re: LEGO Cuusoo Fall 2012 Winner Set: Mars Science Laborator
LEGO already has a licence with Disney for Star Wars, what we don't know is what the terms of that are, it might be they can make only a limited number of sets, or limited number of large sets. As for Portals, hogwash, that one is easy. TLG is a privately owned company. Kjeld could pickup the phone ...

The arches are all wrong as well, they are curved on the real building, but they have flat sides on this model, then curve too sharply at the top.
The whole thing looks about 80% finished, this needed more time in the oven.

Yea, they are taking WAY too long to do this, I haven't been to the site in awhile, lost interest due to a lack of focus. Frankly, for as much as LEGO likes to promote that they can turn production quickly and are agile to the market, in this case, they are not. Most of the public doesn't even remem...

I bought both the day before this was posted for the discounted price.
