[MOC] The Whipped Cafe

It's funny how something so small can just grow into a big idea. I saw Nooroyd's use of whips to spell out Cafe https://www.flickr.com/photos/66549279@N06/8978909884/in/faves-sixf00t4/ - And I loved it. I loved it so much, I wanted to duplicate it...but, I changed it up a little bit and took it to a...

Mister Rogers interior diorama

I made this for a local competition. Pittsburghers love Pittsburgh - but who doesn't love Mister rogers?? busted it out in about 10 hours. It shows if you look around, but I think it turned out well! not sure If I'll win this year, but I had fun. https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5546/14527355112_6db8b...

Re: Cathedral of Learning

Thanks! I mean, to be honest, without the impossible detail of a gothic structure, it is a pretty simplistic building. perhaps why people seem to like it so much though.

Re: Cathedral of Learning

hmmm, still not getting topic reply notifications! I just clicked the bottom link that said "subscribe topic" so, hopefully that fixes it now. Thank you all for the support! I know 10,000 votes is going to be way beyond any effort I put forward. I'm curious what people outside of pittsburg...

Re: Cathedral of Learning

hmmm...didn't get the notification of the reply.

Thank you! This is my first architecture style build. It was a lot of fun, but it really is an easy one to do.

Cathedral of Learning

Not many people are familiar with the Cathedral of Learning outside of Pittsburgh. I know this, but I'm hoping to change that. It's a beautiful building, on the national historic registry, and it's got a bunch of awesome "themed" room for countries around the world. I did this for a contes...

Re: LEGO Minifigure Year by Year Review & Giveaway

I'm all about the data and the history here, but I really don't like "static" history. I'd much rather see a wikipedia established with the complete history and all the figs. I've always been impressed with the DK books though. High quality prints and construction, and easy enough reads. I...

E.T. - released 1982 used about 60 pieces. I wanted to keep it very minimal as far as pieces go because I want there to be "void" created. Any small details would create the illusion that you're up close to it, but to work correctly, the viewer needs to be far away. http://farm9.staticflic...
