I've sold a very small handful of boxes on BL, and the two times I asked I was told that it was to make a gift more impressive, in one case as a used set for a kid and the other to replace a smashed box.

We should know by the fall at New York Comic Con. That was when the line was first revealed last year.

These new Castles being marked down is giving me a brain freeze. Moria and Mirkwood aren't worth it until they hit 50%. On a side note, my TRU keeps their Lego backstock on a high shelf, and the same 20+ Moria sets have been sitting there as long as I can remember.

YMMV update: Mirkwood was red tagged for $22, Wargs for $48 (seriously). That's it so far. Oddly, there was a new red tag on shelf in the SW section, but it was for the Vampyre Castle at $69. It wasn't there a week or two ago, maybe they got in another shipment, maybe the tag was just auto-generated...

^Actually, quite a few of the larger BL stores list wait times of several days or up to a week, due to the sheer volume on incoming orders I assume. So there is the chance for the hobbyist to earn repeat buyers based on the speed of their order turn around.

Man, I keep checking here hoping for good news. Last year it seems QARs were falling out of the rafters by now. Soon, though, right? Sadly most Walmarts I've been to don't even have any Helms Deep to sell me for half off.

Yes, $55 is wack, but $55 with the BOGO ain't half bad. And I had some coupons.

As of right now it seems that the "Red Hot Deals" are stacking, despite the listed exclusions. Hence 79111 for $75 and so forth. I did not check any others though.

My TRU had Weathertop clearanced at $55 and it stacked with the BOGO. I was there Friday and it wasn't on clearance, so those interested may want to check yours.

Sets are indeed the easiest to determine shipping; it is the parts game where predetermination gets fuzzy. Domestic orders under 13 ounces would be no problem, but everything else should be left to the discretion of the seller.

I sent 2 Helms Deep back to Target because they just had the packing crate wedged inside another box and it was clear that someone had shoved the box from the side to make it "fit" somewhere it shouldn't. The two sets were mangled, accordioned about 1/3 of the boxes, busted seals, just awf...
