Re: No Discounts Policy on LEGO Exclusives & Hard to Find It
Why doesn't Lego allow you to use the 10% off coupon on their exclusive/hard to find sets? They are still getting your money and making a nice profit and it's a little extra incentive to buy directly from Lego. It's not like 10% off is that much anyways, even on the expensive exclusives. Like someon...

Re: No Discounts Policy on LEGO Exclusives & Hard to Find It
So does this mean there won't be any discounts on exclusives ever? For instance last year Lego had 10% off everything during Black Friday, will this not apply to the exclusives now? If not I might as well buy the sets now during double VIP because it seems to be the best deal you can get.

Re: [CAN] Mastermind Toys Web Outlet
It looks like they are pulling a TRU and jacked up most of their prices so the deals seem better than they really are? For instance the Goblin King Battle is listed as $129 on sale for 97 when its really MSRP $99.99 everywhere else (and most currently have it for 85 or so). Most of their sale prices...

Re: [USA] Target Clearance Finds Summer 2013
While 30% is a nice chunk off, especially on newer sets like the LotR, its nothing amazing. Yoyo just had 20% off if you buy three or more Lego sets and no taxes or shipping. With taxes in my area near 10% this was basically a 30% off without the hassle of having to go store to store for a hit and m...

Re: 20% off LEGO on Yoyo, when....
I just ordered two of every new LotR Lego set. The max $50 discount kind of sucks, but is easily bypassed if you make a new account for your wife, brother, mother, etc. It didn't seem to care the address was the same as long as there was a different e-mail and name on the new account. Not that it's ...

Re: 63 year old AFOL denied entry into Legoland at Vaughan M
Aren't kids required to have an adult present with them when they enter the park? It's not like they are going in alone, or being left alone and are totally vulnerable to being snatched up by a pedo? This is just extra security and quite frankly I think it's a little much. I mean other theme parks a...

Re: [USA] ThinkGeek 20% off when you spend $40
Entertainment Earth has everything MSRP so the BOGO 50% is really 25% off (unlike TRU), but their shipping seems extremely high. I put one of every new LotR set in my cart and the shipping was almost over $20. To bad they don't offer any free shipping or that could be a really good deal.

Re: Some good deals today 6/25 on small sets at Amazon.com
The Riddles for the Ring set is normally $9.99 MSRP so it's only 0.2 cents off. Not really a sale on that one, the rest seem like decent deals though being 2-3 bucks off.

Re: LEGO 70014 The Croc Swamp Hideout Pictures
If this were really $19.99, it would be around 3 cents per piece and one of the best Lego deals ever . Unfortunately it looks like it's yet another mistake on K-Marts part though. People are reporting ordering the LotR Black Gates and Corsair Pirate Ship sets from K-Mart and when they go to pick it ...

Re: Retiring Soon Update
Not surprised. Lego is producing way too many things at once, WM and Target doesn't have the shelf space to carry all the releases. It's not even a year yet and WM is already clearing Jabba's Palace and Helm's Deep off their shelves. Good news is that most of the sets labeled 'retired' should still...

Re: Kmart BOGO50 12/16 - 12/17
I got 3 shipments from Kmart and one was slightly smashed. I just exchanged it at the store. Out of three Amazon shipments, two where smashed. One box was almost crushed flat on one side. UPS does not handle their boxes well at all. Its all about volume. It probably doesn't help it's so close to th...

Re: Kmart BOGO50 12/16 - 12/17
With the $5 off $45 this would of been slightly better than Amazon's current 20% off sale on the Hobbit sets since Amazon does not charge sales taxes. Without the 5 off it's slightly worse. For me, the taxes come out to be right around 6% so the K-Mart BOGO 50% off is basically 25% off while Amazon ...

Re: 2 Hobbit Sets 20% off at Amazon
Just my guess, but I doubt we will see anything better come along for a long while. 20% off on top of no taxes in most states ends up really being 25-30% off which is better than most of the LotR sets from B&N last year. The only thing that will really beat this is heavily discounted/clearanced ...

Re: LEGOShop US & Canada Brick Friday LEGO Deals
50% of sets that are really old or overpriced, and 20% or less off on any remotely new sets. Ya, that's pretty lame considering you can almost always get sets for 20% off if you just look around for deals on TRU or Amazon.

Re: Mirkwood Elf Guard Polybag
Not sure why it is stated this is a buck more. $4.99 is always the price of polybags at TRU. It's the standard TRU markup. I said a buck more than polybags normally sell for, not a buck more than they normally sell for at TRU . Yes the price is $5 like all TRU polybags, but it's not $4 like polybag...

Mirkwood Elf Guard Polybag
Currently TRU has a new Hobbit polybag out, the Mirkwood Elf Guard! The price is a buck more than polybags normally sell for, but it's a great way to build a forest with the tree and mushroom pieces included, and also a great elven army builder! The dark green hood should also look fantastic with Eo...
