Re: [Lego Store] Winter Village Cottage $69.98

I saw a few the Cottage set for $69.98 yesterday at Queens Center Lego store (NY). The TRU at Times Square had four of the Post Office set last week for $59.99 but they're all gone now. They would not honor any coupons due to the fact they fall under the "hard to find" category. :what?: T...

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale

There are still deals out there. We found some this weekend at a couple out of the way, rural WMs. Even had a CL reseller looking type come in who pushed past my wife to grab sets! Some people never cease to amaze me...I cannot imagine how dead I would have been 25 years ago had I pushed a woman in ...

Re: Lego 10224 Town Hall $149.99 on Amazon

This happens every now and again on Amazon. Typically you can click the "xxx new from $xx.xx" link and see the correct price. Often, Amazon will be listed as the first seller. I have always noticed this often works when search says one thing and the item page says another.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale

Hit a few more Phoenix area stores this morning. Scottsdale Chaparral and 101 was pretty cleaned out. In Mesa either the Baseline and Country club or Dobson and 202 store still had some mining trucks and recycling centers (sorry, can't remember which) at 50% off. Tempe Southern and Rural had a very...

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale

Funny to see the Frigate, and Dino Hq, and the Falcon, and TAMPERING all mentioned in the same thread. Last Spring I was lucky enough to find the Frigate and Falcon on clearance for $50 each at a Walmart. Easily one of the best finds I've had. The boxes were completely f-ed. Took them to the CS des...

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale

I am wondering if this hit SD. Vultures were out at the last store...circling the toy aisle and staring everyone down. We had a few things in our cart and two guys followed my wife around grabbing just about everything she picked up.

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale

snip King That's just one type of reseller an inexperienced one not all are like that. Just like in any economy there will be people who are good at what they do and succeed at it and others who fail at it. I for one am diversifying my investments in sets that i believe will at least double in valu...

Re: [USA] Walmart Clearance Sale

Can anyone give some detail on Chrismas sales 2010? Did corporate mark down a specific list of sets like last year? In 2010, there were a number of sets that were available for 50% off, but it was not consistent. In some cases it was the smaller sets, but I remember that we picked up a number of th...
