Re: [CAN] 30221 Fire Car Polybag @ Chapters

interesting. since when has chapters carried Lego polybags? have i missed out on a ton of them?? This was the first time I had ever seen polybags at Chapters, and I frequent my local stores several times a month. I can safely say that you haven't missed out on any older polys. But yes, lets all hop...

Re: GS 30231 polybag - anyone spotted these?

So a two-hour round trip ended up costing a lot more than the expected $11 or so... Sure, I ended up picking up five of these, plus a Friends Birthday Party poly, and four CMFs9 each for me and my daughter, but the TRU in White Plains is apparently one of the ones that has gone off the deep end. Th...

[CAN] 30221 Fire Car Polybag @ Chapters

Just came from my local Chapters location (Kennedy & 401) and found the 30221 Fire Car Polybag! A little steep at $4.95, but what's exciting is the prospect of a major retailer in Canada other than TRU to carrying polybags. Just thought I'd share this tidbit of info. I know from now on I'll be c...

Re: (Canada) - Walmart Clearance YMMV

Just found the following Friends sets on clearance at the Cedarbrae location (Markham & Lawrence): 3935 Stephanie's Pet Patrol - $10 3932 Andrea's Stage - $10 3934 Mia's Puppy Palace - $10 All of these have an MSRP of $14.99. Not much of a discount, but I think it's the first time I've seen Frie...

Re: (Canada) - Walmart Clearance YMMV

Apart from the Fire Station, I found all of these sets on clearances for the prices mentioned in previous posts at the Walmart at Morningside & 401 (Scarborough). On average, I'd say there were about 3-6 of each set on the shelves. It looks like they had just done a reset of their toy section, s...

Thanks for the heads up! I've spotted the Mandalorian Fighter at my local TRU, but haven't seen the Friends poly. I've been itching for some new polys!

That little robot thingy pictured with Yoda, is that from a new set? Or something they just whipped up for the picture?

I was there from about 5:30pm to 6pm. Almost got trampled by a bunch of kids running for that Chima Speedorz setup!

Re: Fairview mall lego store - winter cottage $90.48

I saw it there yesterday as well, but it was a little more money than I wanted to spend. Definitely a good deal, though.

I wonder of we were in the store at the same time! lol

I actually spotted the Mandalorian Starfighter at my local TRU, and I'm up in Canada. I'd imagine that they should start popping up everywhere soon.

While I'm sure this game will be fun like all the other Lego video games, I think I'm more excited/anxious about what the exclusive minifig (with pre-order) will be!

Re: New LEGO Brand Store opening in Toronto

Putting stores like Lego goes against marketing strategy. Lego is a suburban draw and not for downtown shopping. Doubt if any lego stores are located downtown in any US city even though there are some cities with nice downtowns (chicago, boston, seattle)? There's a store at the Rockefeller Center i...

Re: New Star Wars sets summer 2013

Since those are preliminary images, isn't it possible that what's shown are not the final models? But regardless of that, 5+ minifigs in each of those two sets, seems like the Star Wars theme will continue destroy people's wallets!

Just to add to this thread, I've also found the Gandalf poly, as well as the Creator Helicopter and Star Wars MTT polys at my local store (Markville). I think the only one us Canadians are missing is the Mirkwood Elf.

Re: New LotR Sets-Released March 2013!

Just watched the Hobbit and learned they are breaking the book into 3 movies.... At least I can expect 2 more waves of Hobbit Legos :) Yeah, they faced the dilemma of trying cram too much story into the second film (it was originally slated to be two films), but they decided instead to make a third...

Re: Monster Fighters The Zombies done?

^ Well the Zombies set is definitely an anomaly, but there have been sets in the past that have gone through short-than-usual runs. An extremely short run such as this is definitely not the norm. But like Zeya mentioned, and with regular visits to this forum, you'll undoubtedly be kept abreast on al...

Re: Monster Fighters The Zombies done?

And I guess a second 'moral of the story' would be not waiting until the last minute at all, especially if it's a set you really want. Me personally, I have no qualms with paying MSRP for a set that I really want. If worse comes to worst, I know I can always return it if a deal/sale comes along.
