Yes, before Lego decided to do something about it. But retailers can still give discounts towards them through other means.

Re: Target-Star Destroyer 75055 reduced to $104.95 (exp Oct

This is a known promotion. This is one the sets that has been on special since late August. As a result, this model has been tough to find on store shelves since start of Sept. There is another posting in this section of the Forum, from August 22nd, that addresses this sale at Target. Agree, and he...

Re: Minifig Series 12 availability in Canada

They are available in TRU and Walmart as of the 1st (saw them with my own eyes I did). They were not out in Walmart on the 1st around here. Apparently Mastermind Toys has them as well. I bought 16 at Target with the red card to save 5%, and got 15 unique. I mistook a princess for a wizard, when I t...

Their MSRPs are lower than Canada, so that is a small discount for those that can shop down in the states.

Re: Hidden bonus promos at Shop.Lego

If they re-upped a Star Wars poly, like Revan or TC-4, I'd be all over that. But not for a hot dog stand. I believe if they still have any, they are either holding them off for may 4th next year, or handing them out at conventions. What most of us want at events, hotdog stand or SW related polybags?

Perhaps, but why would you?
Agree! Even at $20 they seem overpriced. Mini-figures drives sales these days, not the pieces.

And just when you thought Bricktober couldn't get any worse. Normally, I use Bricktober and its exclusive gifts as an excuse to pick up sets on sale that I didn't get earlier in the year. If they're not even going to dignify the "celebration" with a weekly sale this year, then I'll...

Re: Walmart Star Wars Clearance

Generally speaking, Walmart does clearance on a store by store basis. There are two Walmarts in my nearest town, and on more than one occasion I have found an item on clearance at one, still at full price at the other. Nice find though. Agree, different store and their department head are given an ...

Re: LEGO fight Against Chinese counterfeit LEGO

Maybe TLG shouldn't produce authentic brand LEGO in China? They have factories all over China. Also eBay won't do anything when you "report" an auction. I've never seen them take down an auction I've reported. Maybe if 1,000 people do it might work, but eBay is notorious for being a haven...

I found one at a second hand store for thiry bucks! . It was an awesome deal, probably never see anything like it again. If I were you I might want to check the content in the box, it could be cereal for all I know. Or it could be Megabloks, Kre-o, Knex stuff inside, anything but lego. But if you d...

they screw others over, bad karma I say. I can't buy direct from Lego, and the only other source is retail. What would you suggest? Shut down Bricklink entirely? Now why can you not buy from Lego? No stores near you? No credit cards? Bricklink did not start with people buying all the clearance sets...

Re: 2015 DC LEGO Super Heroes Pictures 76028 76027 76026 760

I think those bigger figures are stupid. I'm okay with the hulk figure, but now they are doing it with a lot of sets to justify a larger pricetag. Like 76016/Green Goblin, what a rip off at $45 for that set, even at $30 it's a rip off. If I want larger figures I'll go buy Playmobil or another actio...

mshiels: Just ignore this guy. Based on his previous posts, every sale post that goes up gets a comment from him about how it's a terrible deal, unless it's at 80% off. Most people can understand and empathize with how difficult it is to be an independent small business. I'm not sure why he's so up...

Re: Lego Shortage at Canadian Independant Toy Retailers?

Actually that was pretty recently. We had one of the 8420 technic motorcycles from 2005 still at retail around 80$ I think, so we make around 30$ but it was going on ebay around 180$ so the ebayer that came in and tried to clean us out was making a lot more than we were. So we adjusted the price to...

Re: Lego Shortage at Canadian Independant Toy Retailers?

At Lasting Toys - we keep our prices at retail for years after the item is out - unless of course we find scalpers/ebayers coming and wiping out our stock and making 2-3 times our profit on each item. Then we do adjust the price but tons of our stuff never gets adjusted for years after it's become ...
