Interesting. The train is only 699 pieces but has a RRP of $99.99. I guess it's because of all of the track pieces it comes with..

Built the two smaller sets last night. A review of the smallest is up on my blog and I'm working on part two. I'm saving the mansion for this coming weekend.

A box just arrived from Amazon with what I'm assuming is the two smaller sets. I opted to wait on the mansion, since I'm sure it will be discounted. Building these tonight.

I think the ghost train filled a much different role than something like this. Thematically speaking, why would a ghost train need to actually run on track. ;) I do agree that, if the LR train does not come with power functions, that decision was made to keep this at a price point stores will carry....

If I had not just blown the bank on an Imperial Shuttle last week, I would totally be grabbing one of these. It's an appealing set and I think the dragon-based Ninjago sets are the best of the bunch.

HP sets are already doing well. I snagged both the big and little Hogwarts sets over the summer at ~30% off. Sold both during the holidays for 3x what I paid for them.

And OOS (both the house and the elves). Store pickup still works assuming you can find one or both in stock nearby. Hopefully my two copies will show up without any problems, seeing as I don't see any stores that have them in stock nearby. The Samurai Mech is still in stock online and is a pretty g...

But, Lone Ranger sets will be just that, Lone Ranger, and not this Modular Western Town theme. I also don't see too much hope for the UCS Sandcrawler. Boo! Western town was the best thing to come out of cuusoo so far and the only thing that made me interested in that project at all. It was an original, creative and detailed set. Very disappointing that they didn't accept to produce it. I hope cuusoo is not becoming a forum for fanboys to get lego...
