Since there's no exclusive minifigs in these sets it's really not worth that much...

50% off Lego doesn't happen a lot - specifically at TRU.

All I am saying for dozens of the same set is that lots of the same parts will sell SLOW - variety (and pricing) is the key.

That's quite odd. The sales associate I dealt with handed out rain-checks - it wasn't even my suggestion, he asked me if I wanted one and off I went... odd, they need to become more consistent!

They will likely get there over time - did take walmart a while too.

They will also issue rain-checks for items that are out of stock and are subject to the temporary price drop.

That is correct - not clearance as this is on many recent sets. Also, the tags indicate temporary savings. More like a Walmart "Rollback".

Seems reasonable - I am just trying to figure out if it's worth it to go.

It will only work in Tanger Outlet Maill TRU expresses - if the coupon for your local Tanger stipulates so.
