Incredibly disappointing for those who live far away from a LEGO store.

Checked Walmart last night, and they had added new Hobbit lego to the clearance.

Dol Guldur (big one) was $54.00
Dol Guldur (small one) was $15.00
Laketown Escape was $40.00

They had a sign up that you could layaway right now for Christmas.

My experience with LEGO backorders is that they always fulfill them. Every set I've backordered they came through with.

I think that $99 spaceman set will be a good investment. Seems like that thing could rise in value the next few years, especially since it's not just a polybag but a boxed figure.

I checked out another local KMART.

They had some LEGO friends polybags for 60 cents and the Ewar Acro Fighter polybag for 87 cents. They had 43 of the Ewar Chima polybags so I bought them all. I was very happy to find them, there are some nice pieces to part out in that set.
