Re: Minifigure Series 1 vs. Series 2

I find the over-all figures in s1 more interesting and fun (Spaceman, Ninja, Robot, Gunslinger and Zombie, in particular), but the individual parts of s2 more useful, especially the new pieces like the Pop Star's hair, the Spartan's spear, the Karate Guy's trophy, and the Skier's poles. That's a va...

Re: [Rant] Craigslist Sellers

Probably they want to avoid ebay because final prices can sometimes be high or low. True. Although I wasn't really aiming at being logical, this being a rant and all. :) Wow, that's a neat function. I've never seen it on any other phpBB board. (I'm talking about the "review your post" bec...

Minifigure Series 1 vs. Series 2

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm not as interested in the second series as I was the first one. I feel that the first series had more interesting, and fun, figures than the current run. Here's a list of the first series. Caveman Cheerleader Circus Clown Deep Sea Diver Demolition Dummy Cowb...

Re: [REVIEW] 8097 -- Slave I

[REVIEW] 8097 – Slave I I recently cashed in some of my VIP points to bring the price of the new Slave I set down to something I could afford. This is the third iteration of Boba Fett’s iconic ship. Oddly, I received a one of the previous version (6209) back when I was still in my dark ages and had...

[Rant] Craigslist Sellers

Look, I know not everybody knows about Bricklink but please don't mention how much whatever you're selling goes for on eBay. Prices on eBay can be artificially inflated because it's an auction site . If you don't understand what that is, people bid on items driving the price up, this does not accura...

I'm getting more and more interested as the days go bye, I'm leaning towards the Assembly Faction. Anyone else have an early favorite?

The Target in Framingham has them. I grabbed eight (Disco Stu, Explorer, Mime, Spartan, Vampire, Karateka, and Pharaoh(x2)) on Wednesday of last week.

Greetings from Massachusetts!

Hey all! I figured I should finally do an introduction thread since I've been chatting a little bit in the regular forums. :) I'm a long time Lego fan who came out of his dark ages about four years ago thanks to a game called Mechaton. I've been looking for a community to talk about Lego and this se...

[USA] Target Temporary Markdowns

I was out Wednesday at Target looking for the new minifigure series and I stumbled across a deal. The Off Road Fire Rescue set (7942) is temporarily marked down to $7.99 from $14.99. Which brings it down to $0.06/piece instead of $0.12/piece. I don't know if this applies to all Target stores though.

[USA] Indiana Jones sets @ Walmart

If anyone is interested, the Walmart in Natick/Framingham on Rt.9 has a couple of the Indiana Jones Fighter Plane Attack sets (#7198) in the clearance aisle of the toy section. They're still full price though, I ran one through the price scanner. This was as of Wednesday 9/8.

This sounds interesting, but I'm not hopeful on what the price per piece will be. Nor, given how the game mechanics of their boardgames is rather luckluster, am I hopeful it will be a good game. Really the world Boardgame revolution started in Germany about 10 years ago....why didn't Lego turn to t...
