Re: Walmart.ca Clearance

And Walmart doesn't price match their own website anymore. At least that is the official policy, some sales associates don't know or care, so good luck.

Re: Weird question

No, I haven't done that, but I share you pain. My kids all had sets that they played with and the parts kept falling off. I refuse to glue though. I am not Lord Business after all. :)

Re: ToysRUs Canada February 20 - 26

Using the coupon on the Joker's Steamroller set gets a great price per piece. As does the Milano Spaceship set.

Which set is 25% off? Any of them? Most appear to be 20%, which isn't bad, but 25 would be better.

Re: Bricklink problems. Advice requested

Weird follow up. Went through paypal and got a refund. And now the order which was supposed to have been shipped in early January but was actually shipped on Feb 2nd has arrived. He clearly lied about sending the replacement order back in January, so I feel like keeping the money (after all the junk...

No, no you are not. The Final Duel and the Shuttle are on my want list. But everything else is a big pass.

Re: Target liquidation

I am not surprised that people are jumping all over 20% off. LEGO has not not been put on sale a whole lot recently. With the well documented Lego shortage and Lego's soaring popularity in the wake of the LEGO movie, LEGO deals have been few and far between. Everything 20% off plus the red card disc...

Yes, the CMF's were not there on the day before the clearance sales began, so these are recent.

Re: Target liquidation

Barrie Target is getting close to empty in terms of LEGO. Lots of other stuff, but LEGO is going fast. However, must have been like 10 relatively new boxes of Series 13 figures if you are still looking for them.

Re: Target Closing All Stores in Canada

Today is the day. However, expect to be disappointed. The sales are "UP TO 30% off". I was at Target last night (Barrie, On) and all the price scanners had been removed from the walls. (WTH?) And there were like only 5 employees visible in the whole store. They appeared to be figuring out ...

Re: Target Closing All Stores in Canada

Article I read recently said that Target Canada will be presenting a liquidation plan to a judge this week, and if approved, they could start liquidating as early as Thursday. However, there are no plans for advertised liquidation sales so it will totally be YMMV. And as we've all been finding, they...

Re: Too Good to be True??

First thoughts are that he put in the wrong price (should be $500 not $50). It probably is a scam. You'll get an empty box or a picture of the Death Star. :) But yeah, very tempting.

Since my kids love it so much, if there are any MegaBloks Skylanders there, some pictures of that would be nice.

Yes, he's in the US, I'm in Canada. No tracking info was given. I have never had anything held up in customs so I suppose that could the case, but it was literally 2 pieces. Grand total of $2.25 plus shipping. I did pay through paypal and my address is correct there so that shouldn't be the issue. I...

Bricklink problems. Advice requested

I've been buying on bricklink for over 6 years now, and never had a problem. Until now. I wanted to know if anyone has had this experience and how it played out. I placed a small order back on November 26th. By the end of December it still hadn't arrived so I contacted the seller. He had no idea wha...

And another beautiful set that I will never own. $400 that hurts. Sigh.
I do like the shield logo they have behind the figures though. Will have to recreate that.

[CAN] Walmart clearance YMMV

A few new sets on clearance at the Barrie Walmart today. The Ghost (Star Wars Rebels) was $80, the X-Men versus Sentinel was down to $45 and a few other sets were reduced as well. Obviously, each store does its own thing, so happy hunting!

Re: Buying a case of minigs?

I use the "feel and identify" method, but that's mainly because I return the ones I don't want. I've been doing it since series 3, so I've gotten pretty good at it. I really don't know if opening them up affects their resale value or not.

Re: Buying a case of minigs?

No, don't know anyone. I just get lucky and buy them off the shelf. I think it was Walmart that I found them at. Basically, I just went in to the store each day after hearing they were out until I found them.
