Handed cashier the two coupons at checkout at which point she said that I couldn't use both coupons. I informed her that I was told we could so she takes a look again, "Oh, it's not a 30% off coupon(or something like that)..."

Unless I'm mistaken that is just a reminder to use the voucher obtained from a recent promotion. But if you could actually use the one in the printed flyer that would be awesome

FYI for anyone who wanted one last sale and missed it. Regular price is ~$35 CAD.

Shelf had a regular price tag instead of the rollback ones if that means anything, I'm not familiar with their practices.
