Looks like it's time to boycott Lego.

I was hoping Amazon would price match this set, even better with the redcard since there is no tax and the Amazon credit card nets 3% back.

This set is available online through walmart.com for 19.40 - 33% off MSRP of 29.99. This, IMHO, is a fantastic set and worth the price. Various other sets are reduced, but nothing that stood out at me.

I was at the Lego store this morning while some 'VIP's' were there. Never really met a bigger bunch of jerks and know it all's. I'm not generalizing about all VIP's, just glad I didn't fit into the local crowd.

Just an update, looks like it is back in stock on ebay through the TRU store.

I'm not sure how many people may have ordered. I placed an order for one after I read the post and received my shipping update today that it's on its way.

I agree with Harry99. There are easier ways to invest money, but for some this is far more interesting and fun than stocks.
