Re: New US LEGO Brand Stores coming to CT, MO, TX and UT

I agree, but it's close to NYC so maybe they think the rich money will go there. I would have thought Manchester area would make more sense, TONS of shops there. There's already lots of rich money in the Danbury area. The Danbury Fair mall already has most retailers one would find in a higher end m...

Re: 10232 Palace Cinema Exclusive Access for VIPs + Free Shi

I'm going to hold off on it. S@H should be offering a general free shipping time soon and given that Easter is 3/31, I would not be surprised to see free shipping at some point before now and then.

Re: Police Station 31% off

The Police Station #7498 will be out all of 2013 This is kind of interesting since I believe that Lego has released a new police station every single year. While 7498 was released in December of 2010 (though probably considered 2011's police station) and then 4440 (Lego City Forest Police Station) ...

Re: 2013 New York Toy Fair LEGO Pictures Now Out

I doubt I'll be interested in much of the LR sets, but the train looks very cool. Hopefully, it can be adapted to Power Functions.

I just bought mine! Shipping seemed like a lot, but the base price is so cheap, how could I say no?

Re: [US/CA] LEGO Horizon Express & Batman Arkham Asylum Brea

I plan on getting both sets, but I'm going to hold off until there's free shipping or some sort of discount. The downside to the train is that, like the retired Maersk and Emerald Night sets, the Power Functions power source and motor are not included. I imagine that the set is designed to easily ac...

Re: What is the best way to buy collectible minifigures?

Depending on how many sets you want, buying a full box can be the way to go. As long as you get a sealed box, the distribution of minifigs tends to be true to the Eurobricks review - (usually 3 full sets plus some extras). In the past, amazon.fr (I think? or was it amazon.it?) has had good deals on...

Re: [US/CA] More LEGO Retiring Soon Products Listed

Hrm... I'm not surprised that MMV is being retired, but it seems rather soon for both Imperial Shuttle and Diagon Alley. I would like to get Diagon Alley, personally, but these high-ticket items are a hard sell with the missus, as well as myself. I wonder if perhaps their license for Harry Potter i...

Re: BE CAREFUL!! Just got scammed @ B&N.

And let's remember that while it's a major pain in the ass for the buyer, more often or not, the retailers makes things right. But the downside to all of us is that the theft underlying this problem only adds more cost to an already expensive hobby.

Re: Talk like a pirate day

I didn't even notice that the game wasn't on the confirmation e-mail. Then again, I never look at them since Lego has never made mistakes on orders before. Then when I got the shipping confirmation the other day, I ignored it too. But then when I got my package last night, without the game in it, I ...

Re: [S@H] Winter Cottage now available for VIP members

I want this set and I'm still eligible for free shipping, but I already picked up the free zombie car, so I'm going to hold off until after 10/1 and see what freebies they might have come available during October. If nothing pops up and free shipping isn't available, I'll wait until November.

Re: Talk like a pirate day

Just made my Haunted House + Zombie Car + Pirate's Plank game. I was planning on getting the Haunted House anyway, but I have found it's often a good idea to wait until near the end of an offer to take advantage of any overlap, which often occurs.
