Re: Official Press Release: LEGO 10249 Winter Toy Shop

I was just thinking - perhaps the (hopefully inevitable) "Bonus Holiday Set 1 and 2 of 2" promos will combine to be something more substantial than previous years and will serve as a viable additional WV set. Maybe.

Re: Official Press Release: LEGO 10249 Winter Toy Shop

^ Yes, they're Technic half-width beams. They were gray in the original. Brickset posted both the old and new versions one on top of the other, which helps in discerning the differences: Screen Shot 2015-08-19 at 1.52.38 PM.png The above-mentioned color change for the Technic curved beams from gray ...

Re: Review: Scooby-Doo: The Mystery Machine 75902

Great review, well done! This is easily the most iconic set and is likely to be incredibly popular. It's also the only set to feature Fred. I just think it's too bad it's so difficult to get the entire gang, but I guess LEGO took the "Hey, gang, let's split up!" idea to heart ;-) Seriously...

Re: Target summer clearance

Not sure if this is true everywhere, but the Target's close to me had a new round of markdowns this morning. Most everything I found was 50% off (Ultra Agents, and a few medium sized Creator sets). Yeah, Thursday is the markdown day for toys at Target, it's pretty standard across most stores. It's ...

Thanks for the review and for stopping by at Toy Fair! The hacker guy from Agents looks awesome with that android armor. Just noticed that you commented on this - yeah, no problem, it was awesome to get a look at these. The combo of the Agents hacker helmet and the BW armor really goes to show how ...

Re: CHIMA- biggest LEGO set ever- 10004 pcs, 92 minifigs

Looks like 26 based on the images on the side of the box. I wonder if it's just for the contest, of this is an actual 'virtual product collection'? And I wonder if it will actually have that box, or it's just a photoshopped image...

Re: New Format for Monthly Mini Model Build - how was it?

We didn't go, other plans got in the way. I have to call them today to see if there is any possibility of them saving the model for my daughter. I also still need to get the Episode V poster, hopefully they still have them. They had a slew of the Episode IV posters when we went to May's MMMB, but th...

Re: August Monthly Mini Model Build Registration Date: July

Yeah, I thought it was a squirrel, too, when I first saw it. Was surprised to see it referred to as a kangaroo.

I only received one confirmation email. Did you possibly double-click the registration button when you filled out the form? That could have caused it to fire the processing twice.

Re: August Monthly Mini Model Build Registration Date: July

I wonder how long this process will last. As it is, we have to miss our appointment tonight. I wonder how many other no-shows there will be. I could see them letting the stores opt-in or out of the registration process - let those that are not too busy just regulate it themselves, but the stores tha...

Re: August Monthly Mini Model Build Registration Date: July

The form is updated (was as of 8:50am EST), but the main Stores.LEGO.com page is not, so just go to http://shop.lego.com/en-US/minibuild-registration You can also get there by clicking on the news item for last month's build, none of the content was updated on the pop-up, either, but clicking the li...

There was one very interesting comment - that each model has three different builds that can be used in the game. That's pretty cool, glad to see it's not just 'build this item and then use it in the game and never take it apart'.

^^ Yeah, good point. While it had the new style crash helmet, the spaceman at least had a robot companion that was designed to look like one of the classic space robots.
