Re: 2013 Super Heroes revealed at NYCC

I find it funny that this site/forum is generally just an adult playground for people to whine about how badly designed these kids toys are. I think you all need a time out to put things in perspective. The tumbler is small.. yup.. Lego never makes smaller versions of vehicles ever right? Do you th...

Re: TRU Bricktober Week 2 Sale October 5 - 11, 2012

I agree with QuagsireQing... aside from the odd set or two, and maybe the minifig battle packs.. TRU Canada doesnt mark their LEGO up at all.. I think you guys are reading US TRU threads too much.. If TRU Canada IS marking stuff up, which sets are being marked up? Like I said, I know the odd set or...

Re: TRU Bricktober Week 1 Sale Sept 28-October 4

I swung by my TRU today (Metrotown, Burnaby BC), and they had tonnes of the SW set. Only 4 on the shelf, but I counted 30+ on their top shelf where they put overstock. I got both the minifig collection and the quad. Cashier didn't know though, I had to show him the sign. I was just about to post th...

Re: [CAN] Walmart Clearance

Just got the last clearance The Vampyre Hearse set for $20 at Dufferin Mall wallmart. Great piece. I also see 2 Mining Truck set also for $20. WHAT? Didn't this set just come out like REALLY recently? The Walmart in Vancouver had the Vampyre Hearse and Werewolf sets for $20 and the Swamp Creature f...

Yeah I was just in Metrotown and dropped by. Got my Palpatine's Shuttle and ARC 170. I'd still like a Bounty Hunter Gunship if anyone sees one.

Has anyone been out to the Coquitlam or Delta Zellers lately? Just wondering what the discount on toys is up to now.

Re: (CAN) Costco has lego advent and select star wars 27.99

Costco in Victoria had a fair amount but going fast. In the time it took me to look over the box, 6 other people took 1 or 2. I would say if they're going that fast in Victoria, you better head to your local Costco now if you want one.

Re: Fan Expo Canada 2012

While you're mailing one out to Legobrandon, you might as well mail a second to Vancouver for me ;)

Seriously though, I'm in the same boat as Buttmunch... be willing to pay for one of these if anyone is going to pick some up.

The Palpatine's Shuttles still at 40% off? I'd buy it if it was any cheaper.

Zero Squad Rescue (Star Wars MOC)

This started as simply a squad of Clones to go in my Republic Dropship. One day I was compelled to put them into a scene. But then a single scene didn't satisfy me so I had to put them into a whole story! I thought about doing a stop motion but a number of things prevented that from working out. So ...

Re: Cross Border Lego Shopping

Thats right, but we weren't planning to be gone for 24 hours, only a day trip. I have since decided we're probably not going to go since the savings isn't quite worth it if you're not doing anything other than buying lego. We might end up saving about 60 bucks after the gas etc, plus its a 2+ hour d...

Re: All Zellers closing!

Assuming Coquitlam is the same as the Delta Zellers, the discount on toys is 20% to start. Should increase by 10% every other week or so, according to an employee.

Cross Border Lego Shopping

Wasn't sure which subforum to put this in, hopefully this is ok... My girlfriend and I are thinking about making a decent amount of Lego purchases in September so I thought we might go down across the border to the Lynwood Lego store. Anyone have any experience bringing Lego back across the border? ...

Re: LEGO Cuusoo Mars Science Laboratory Curiosity Rover

It is too bad this project wasn't started sooner... I would think the best time to sell this set would be now while the Rover is in the news. By the time this set comes out (if it passes review), it'll be out of the news and the only people likely to buy will be astronomy buffs.

Re: LEGO Star Wars 2013 Sets

Astromech droid and Clone pilot are excellent additions to the planet series. An Old Republic battle pack will be awesome if its got some good trooper helmets (I do love my star wars helmets).
