Re: 2010 LEGO Creator 5868 5892 5893 30020 30021

Amazon now has the Fast Flyer set listed for 49.95: The set looks a bit different. They have different set numbers and the one on amazon only has 300 pieces and the one thats coming out soon has 500 pieces. Yes, that set was released in 2007: http://brickset.com/detail/?set=4953-1 It's much smaller...

Re: Theme Ideas for Lego

It's a little more complicated than that. Sony had rights to merchandise the movies, so you had Spidey-themed movie LEGO sets, but after they stopped doing that Marvel signed a deal with Mega Bloks to do comic-themed sets, so MB have the comic version of Spider-man and other characters in their sets.

I already signed up. I get so much unwanted email about stuff I couldn't care less about, I might as well get some that I actually do care about ;)

Re: PAB updated

The first thing I found that struck me in the newest version of LDD was a 2x2 plate with one stud in the middle! Never saw that piece before.

I'm actually a little disappointed in 'The Burrow' - I was hoping it would be a bit larger and more asymmetrical and slap-dash, like this MOC by _Matn.

But I still want it.

Re: Matching a set to a partial section

I was editing that post to add this, but got distracted and got locked out. That said, I don't know if I would have the patience to go through a big bulk lot, piecing together sets. I guess the best way to go about it is to sort out pieces by shape and color, look for any indicative pieces and then ...

Re: Matching a set to a partial section

HA... oh, man, you guys are soft! In my day we didn't have numbered bags, we had to pile all the pieces together and hunt! And we LIKED IT THAT WAY! ;) I jest, but actually, I do like it that way. I still pile stuff up and hunt, even with the numbered bags. It's the way I grew up, and it's as integr...

Re: Theme Ideas for Lego

I picked up the lego hobby again just recently, so I do not have the pieces yet to build many large scale custom builds[...] I'm in the same boat. I've started small. I'm currently playing around with speeder bikes, and I'd also like to play around with hovercars. hatcher is right, though - if TLG ...

Re: Toys N Bricks Ranks Guide

Well, if you're going with the medieval theme, 'King' for admin and 'Lord' for moderator would make sense. Though I'm not entirely sold on the medieval theme. I know it's been one of the oldest mainstays, but it doesn't necessarily pertain to all of your visitors. I don't know how technical you want...

Yeah, I'm pretty psyched that I only became newly indoctrinated into LEGO for this seemingly pinnacle version of the Slave 1. I've heard a lot of complaints that it's too similar to the last version, but with Bossk, the new Boba helmet, and the new molded Han in Carbonite, as well as a great modelin...

Re: Theme Ideas for Lego

The beauty of LEGO is that you don't have to wait for the company to put the pieces in a box for you ;) For Star Trek, check out the Flickr pool LEGO Star Trek ! Personally, after watching 'Galaxy Quest' with my daughter last night, I think I might want to one day try my hand at a LEGO NTE-3120 NSEA...

Re: LEGOShop Weekly Phone Specials Thread

Ha, yeah. I called from the train to work this morning. Also, I tried a 7am and couldn't access the list of sales items, so the first post I think is inaccurate: You have to call after 8am (eastern) to get the list.

Re: [USA] May 2010 LEGO Store Calendar

Not to post too many times in a row, but I realized the wording is such that it seems not to be a freebie give-away. The text reads: May the force be with you! Shop online at shop.LEGO.com on May 3rd and May 4th for an exclusive, limited edition offer with any LEGO star wars purchase. Offer is not a...

Re: [Site News] Members Ranks

I'm not sure if I like them being different sizes. I realize a 1x1 brick is really small compared to a 2x8, but I think it would make more sense if they were all in-proportion to each other.

Re: [USA] May 2010 LEGO Store Calendar

Hmm, a free exclusive with any Star wars purchase, I hope it's even better than the poster we got last year. I've heard some people say it might be the white boba fett minifigures that were given away at toyfair. Ahhh.... I didn't even consider that, interesting speculation. That would be pretty aw...

1x1 1x2 1x3 1x4 2x3 2x4 2x6 2x8 graphic if possible. Not sure what you quite mean with those numbers. I'd imagine toystest means either LEGO plates or bricks, starting with 1x2 (though, I'd think we could start with 1x1) - I like the idea of the rank images. That's a built-in PHPBB3 feature, so I c...

Make nav links to the forum actually link TO the forum

For my first official suggestion thread, I suggest you link directly to the forum from the navigation of the main site. Having to click twice to get here is an unnecessary extra step.
