Re: Advent Calendars

If anyone has any tips on finding the Star Wars one in Canada (specifically Ontario GTA area) would love to hear it.

Every online retailer I can think of is sold out as are every physical store I've been in.

Kids decided too late in the season that they actually wanted one again this year.

Nothing in East Toronto/Durham according to friends/family that checked for me (Scarborough, Ajax, Oshawa). Not sure about the West end yet.

Re: Superstore 30%+ - SW, Castle, Hobbit, City, Heroes (YMMV

I just saw a few of these tonight too while grabbing groceries and was coming to post about it. You did a much better job with prices/listing however than I would have! Most of the shelves were empty at the store I was in (just the yellow clearance signs to taunt me!) - but they also had the Lego Mo...

Re: Costco.ca - 20% on 60046 and 70724

Costco.ca appears to have a few more sets available now (not sure how long they've been there as I haven't visited in a while).

Sets include the Falcon for $155 and Technic Grand Prix Racer at $120, Olivia's House at $78 and a few others.

Re: Target Canada 1 Year Anniversary LEGO Sales & Deals

Hey Craig, funny how you sound like a CS clerk. Do you work at Target? :-D Nope! I just tend to end up in conversations with CS clerks or employees at times and they feel compelled to tell me everything (and no, I'm not some crazy old retired guy either). I think it's cathartic for them during clea...

Re: Target Canada 1 Year Anniversary LEGO Sales & Deals

Target has actually advertised this time in their flyer (out today) that clearance toys are at 70% off so there will most likely be more people heading to the stores just to check things out. One of the items shown in the flyer was a Ninjago item. With respect to Target adjusting pricing on items or...

Re: Target Canada 1 Year Anniversary LEGO Sales & Deals

Grrrr. Called a store specifically today and asked them to check. Said it was still the original clearance price. Sounds like either your stores are faster at dropping prices than the one I called ... or the staff there are just lazy and didn't actually check the prices for me.

This set had been on sale at some Loblaws Superstores for around that price a couple weekends ago. Not sure about now however.

Re: Target Canada 1 Year Anniversary LEGO Sales & Deals

^^ I'm sure it's possible and happens as you've noted. Reps and managers can likely make an adjustments if they decide to. Just not the normal policy, which is understandable as some seasonal merch (xmas, Halloween) will go down to 90% off. People would start "gaming" the clearance process...

You're lucky.

Target's policy is to not price adjust on clearance merchandise.

From the policy they emailed me ... "We’re unable to make any adjustments on clearance merchandise."

Re: Target Canada 1 Year Anniversary LEGO Sales & Deals

30% sets are now 50% Appreciate the heads up. Interesting timing. Between a weekend and a stat holiday. Things were looking pretty bare at 30% but I'll check back in on Wednesday. Chances of any SW hitting 75% again are remote I think given the rush on 30%. Wonder if they are just going to keep the...

Re: Target Canada June clearance (YMMV?)

Strange. I didn't see any Star Wars marked down. Even the battle packs noted above were still priced full retail. No clearance, no sale pricing. I wonder if some stores just aren't doing it. One of the earlier posts about a Superman set being marked down was the same too -- full retail at the two st...

Re: Superstore 20% off, select city, super h, sw, hobbit (YM

My wife just saw some of these as well in Ontario (flatbed truck and a few of the Star Wars sets). They were 25% off retail, however the stores in our area of Ontario also had a "no tax" promotion going on so for something like the battle pack, it was $12 total.

Eating my words from above now. My wife was at the Superstore and noticed stuff on sale for 50% off, and they had dropped original prices back to the normal levels. She grabbed a bunch of the Endor battle packs for the prices noted above (but not all ... we leave some for others as these are just fo...
