Re: [This is a SCAM] Mersk Train ($87.88)

And the problem is, that you are the one receiving the stolen goods. For all TRU, LEGO, or whoever knows you are the one who entered the stolen credit card info. If you've fallen for one of these, get in front of it ASAP and keep all of your records in case the police show up at your door. Because w...

Re: SW Advent price drop on S@H. now $40

It must not be selling very well at original MSRP, for them to drop the price this early before Christmas. Remember though, that Advent Calendars are not Christmas gifts. You start an Advent Calendar on December 1st, so putting these on sale now makes sense since it's down to just over a month befo...

Re: If you've shopped at a B&N Store...some PIN pads tampere

I had noticed a few weeks ago that the PIN Pads disappeared at all B&N stores. I work in Information Security for a Fortune 25 company. On the one hand, if there is some major vulnerability in the pin pads they had deployed, I can understand pulling them all out. On the other hand, the current s...

Re: 2012 LEGO Bricktober Week 4 at ToysRUs America

You can get another $5 off the Hobbit game using a coupon you can find in a LEGO catalog in the store for $5 off a $25 LEGO game purchase. It's a manufacturer coupon, so it stacks with the 25% off sale. This is definitely the worst Bricktober, and I think TRU's sales figures will reflect that. Every...

Re: B&N has King's Castle 7946

I love how people see the listing price on Amazon, ebay, or B&N third party sellers and think that's the price it is worth. Listing price does not always equal selling price. Bricklnk gives us a way to see what sets are actually selling for. You might get some unsuspecting mom or dad with a high...

Re: LEGO Bricks & More 2013 sets (10660 10569)

Bricks and More sets can be hit or miss, these look like hits to me. I'm going to assume the price point on these isn't the typical $10, are these going to replace the $15 brick buckets, or will they come in at some new price point? As parts packs, these look pretty good. New bike, new color (I thin...

The winch isn't new, it was on the Coast Guard chopper a few years ago. My kids, having been to a museum, would think that a large scale LEGO museum would be the coolest thing in the world, so I guess that Dad's going to have to MOC one using this as a starting point. I'm surprised they didn't use t...

Re: B&N has King's Castle 7946

I didn't order one, but I too am curious what is going to show up for those who did. It could be they found some in the back of the warehouse, it could be that LEGO had some extra stock and that these were intended as a Black Friday special. In the past old retired sets have found new life on Black ...

Re: Current B&N Coupon Codes

One good use of the 20% coupons in-store are the advent calendars. I picked up the Star Wars for under $40 tonight (after tax), which is a great deal because they almost never go on sale before the Holidays.

Re: Steal of a Deal / Recent LEGO Purchases

I think they count, but LEGO just changed their policy and decided that they will no longer do grab bags. There is a big discussion on this on the brickset forums, and LEGO commented in the thread so this is confirmed, although horrible news.

B&N price hikes

Anyone else notice new price hikes on LEGO at their local Barnes and Noble store? I noticed quite a few sets that were $1-$3 more, which worked out to about 5-15% above MSRP. Specific examples I noticed: City 'Great Vehicles' sets, $22 (MSRP $20) Creator Seaside House, $53 (MSRP $50) Creator Log Cab...

Re: The September Catalog From Lego came Today

Also, the distance idea has been debunked before. Up until this year, I lived 300 miles from a LEGO store, yet I received coupons on my catalogs (until they opened a closer store, and I stopped receiving catalogs - both this year). It seems inexplicably random who gets a coupon and who doesn't.

Re: Pick a Brick is actually a good deal!

Does the pick-a-brick on S@H change regularly? Anyone ever see any rare pieces go on there? Just wondering if it's worth checking regularly. It changes, but I wouldn't say regularly. In the past, changes were often tied to updates to LEGO Digital Designer. I don't know if that is still the case, bu...

Re: Wal-Mart - No Friends Sets

Over on brickset, someone mentioned that Wal Mart doesn't want empty shelves, and due to Friends demand outpacing supply, they decided to drop Friends from stores that weren't selling as much as others, thereby freeing up supply for the stores that were selling more.

Re: [USA] Toys R Us Buy 2 Get 3rd Free 9/16-9/22

Folks - you need to call your State's Consumer Protection/Affairs Department. It's illegal for them to say it is a Buy two get one free *sale,* but then raise their prices the day of the sale - which is exactly what they did. If enough people complain, the state can initiate action against TRU.

Re: How is the Lego Store compared to other sites?

Cons: B&N: Target: Wal-Mart: Sometimes clearanced prices, get reset to full price TRU: TRU tax LEGO: To expand on this, B&N - most coupons won't work online, but will work in store. The other con to B&N is the limited selection. So it's the best place to shop for the sets that they carr...

Hopefully it's not a drop shipper. I'd stay away from any new in box LEGO on ebay that's lower than MSRP.
