That looks amazing! I love that they included detail on the base too instead of just making the wheel (which looks fantastic) stand on its own.

I'm seeing at least 10 minifigures included...

Not sure how a power functions could be added... perhaps to the wheels and not a central axle...

Insta-buy! The structure looks real stable and well detailed from individual cabs to the support structure.... Perfect accompaniment to the fair ground mixer... I feel we will be seeing the grand carousel in an improved version soon.... :) especially because of the new mould piece for the balloon from the latest friends set. That piece is great for a carousel. My poor wallet.

Looks like a good add to last years Mixer and Carousel from many years ago. I'd guess $149.99-199.99.

Probably more for the Carousel of several years ago. Mixer seems like a traveling carnival ride. This seems more permanent like at an amusement theme park.

Possibly true, I'm sure it won't be long till someone combines the 2 for a traveling version.

I recall that a builder named Jamie created and displayed a very similar model which at Brickfair in VA in 2005. (See my photo with other rides that he made.) The LEGO company president and CEO were also in attendance that year. Jamie eventually became a company employee, so its seems this idea started about 10 years ago. :)

Yep thats Jamie Berard's. He's now Senior Product Designer for LEGO CREATOR and LEGO Direct.

I for one am a bit disappointed that this isn't a truck for traveling. I thought that was the theme the mixer started-the traveling rides...

It looks great and I will get one, but I really expected something that would collapse down into a truck.

In reality, no Ferris Wheel at this scale could be traveling around by truck though.

There are traveling fairs all summer long that go from town to town for a few days at a time. All rides arrive and leave on trucks including similarly sized ferris wheels. Its not limited to little kids rides.

Perhaps the iss ue how much set up is needed from the truck to the finished product and there is no way to have everything just come together easily like the mixer:

Its a bit of a disappointment to me. It doesn't fit the the mixer if its not a truck.

It is interesting to see how 3 tractor trailers was leveled and aligned with each other.

I could only think of how expensive it is to maintain, deliver, set up, and put back while it had to be done by engineers.
