New Star Wars sets summer 2013
Hoth bricks has reported Star Wars sets seen in the retailer catalog for the second wave of 2013.
5015 Corporate Alliance Droid
Homing Spider Droid 75016
75017 Yoda vs. Count Dooku
Yoda Chronicle 75018
75019 AT-TE
Jabba's Sail Barge 75020
75021 Republic Gunship
75022 Mandalorian Speeder
A new Jabbas Sail Barge is the one that excites me. I missed the other one from 2006. I never liked the lack of detail on the old Jabba anyway.
I hope we get a new Yoda!
The AT-TE should be similar to 7675 and a Republic Dropship similar to 7676.
All 3 of those, sail barge, at-te and dropship are listed as coming with 5 or 6 minifigs according to the article.
As always, this type of early info is not official yet (but in my experience usually ends up being at least partially correct).
It makes sense that they would put out a sail barge now. It has been over 5 years since the last one and they have the new version of Jabba ready to transfer to a new set.
Does this mean a new bikini clad Leia?
Here is the link: The info is limited and poorly translated.

Re: New Star Wars sets summer 2013
Interesting. The Jabba Sail Barge looks too simple and silly compared to the original. Hopefully this isn't the case.
Re: New Star Wars sets summer 2013
I loved the original Sail Barge. Don't know how they are going to make that set better. I am starting to lose some interest in star wars sets lately. Seems like a bunch of remakes. Take a look at the new battle of hoth set. They just threw in a bunch of pieces we already have and charged $50.
Re: New Star Wars sets summer 2013
I'm happy they are re-releasing (and updating) these sets as I missed most of them first time around and refuse to pay the inflated eBay prices.
Re: New Star Wars sets summer 2013
That looks like a Max Rebo fig for the first time in Jabba's Barge: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Max_Rebo" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

3rd gunship? man they really are out of ideas
Re: New Star Wars sets summer 2013
Looks very similar to the old one... odd, almost like a re-release. I agree, out of ideas summarizes it...

Going to be an expensive new year.
Does anyone think that Sail Barge looks a little poor compared to the older one? The front mainly.

Yes based on what I can see it looks like a downgrade from the orginal. Must be a cost thing so it's lower in price or something.zjygkmatt wrote:Going to be an expensive new year.

It will sell though if it has some cool new minifigs.

Since those are preliminary images, isn't it possible that what's shown are not the final models? But regardless of that, 5+ minifigs in each of those two sets, seems like the Star Wars theme will continue destroy people's wallets!

Is there a *shakes fist* at LEGO thread? I can't afford to keep up with all the cool stuff coming out. Darn you LEGO!!!!!!!!!unclephn wrote:Since those are preliminary images, isn't it possible that what's shown are not the final models? Re: New Star Wars sets summer 2013
Well, the sail barge is already an upgrade simply because the old Jabba was so plain and lacking in detail (it reminds me of the old, plain Yoda that I'm hoping we get an upgrade for). I'm sure the same Jabba that comes in the palace will come with the sail barge. If it also comes with Max Rebo like has been reported that would be super. I hope for an upgraded slave leia, the pics are hard to see.
I don't think out of ideas is a fair assessment. They just have this newly redesigned Jabba fig that they want to get the most money out of and the sets they can make that include Jabba are limited. It has been awhile since the last sail barge anyway.

I'm pretty sure that's who is between R2 and Jabba. You can see the dark red/brown loincloth and what looks like a bare torso (light-colored bikini top). I"m sure this new one will have back printing. The old one looked kind of funny with no back printing.lego the hutt wrote:I hope for an upgraded slave leia, the pics are hard to see.

A Lego figure in a bikini will always look weird no matter how much detail or printing you add.Derek wrote:I'm pretty sure that's who is between R2 and Jabba. New info regarding these and more sets from Eurobricks in a post by forum member Wout:
"My local lego shop let me look in the new catalogue
75015 Corporate alliance tank droid: I'm not sure but I thought I could see the name "Jango Fett" on the box, it also include 2 other figs but they were normal clones or like that.
75016 Homing Spider Droid: I couldn't read the name but a jedi with a zabrak headgear was on the box, probably Eeth Koth or Agen Kolar or a unknown jedi for me, also clones and battle droids
75017 Yoda v.s. Dooku: Battle is a bigger vesion from the 2002 set with a droid I can't identify and probably Arch duke Poggle the Lesser.
75018 Yoda's chronicles, Jek-14 Stealth Starfighter; 3 clones? and a droid
75019 AT-TE: Mace Windu, Coleman Trebor a clone and a battle droid
75020 Jabba's Sail Barge: An unknown Nikto, Max Rebo, three-eyes guy, R2D2, Slave Leia, Jabba
75021 Republic Gunship: Obi-wan, Anakin, Padme, 2 clones, battle droid
75022 Mandolorian speeder: Darth Maul, 2 mandolorians?
75023 Advent calender: There's a young Boba on the front, I hope there will be one in it."
By the way, the person who posted this lives in the Netherlands. As a side note, we will almost certainly get a taste of what 75022 will look like in the next couple months. This is because we already know that Maul and the Mandos will soon appear in an upcoming Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV episode. Regardless, I can't wait to see prelim photos.

Re: New Star Wars sets summer 2013
Because I didn't want to make the last post too long, this one discusses info released by Hoth Bricks regarding two upcoming sets:
"Two sets 2013 whose name is oracular for many of us deserve tries to guess their contents:
75024 HH-87 Starhopper
It will undoubtedly above the gear used by the Hutts (on Nal Hutta) or Zygerrian Slavers and repeatedly seen in the animated series The Clone Wars.
6.80 meters long and 13.59 meters wide for this ship to a place with two laser cannons. The wings fold up like the Imperial Shuttle.
75025 Jedi Defender-Class Cruiser
It would likely be below the ship from the universe of The Old Republic . This ship can be obtained in the game with a quest on Coruscant and it becomes the "headquarters" of the player.
Obtaining it can unlock mini games such as rail-shooter."
This Hoth Bricks post and pictures of these Clone Wars vehicles can be viewed at: http://www.hothbricks.com/2013/01/lego- ... x-en-2013/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
While browsing LEGO Cuusoo, I came across a project with the title "Corellian Defender with Satele Shan, Qyzen Fess, & C2-N2." ( http://lego.cuusoo.com/ideas/view/11084" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) While the model and figs displayed in this project are not the official, it seems to me as if this could be considered as a relatively accurate representation of what the 75025 Jedi Defender-Class Cruiser set will most likely look like, as it is the same vessel. (Pic of Cuusoo project below)

Re: New Star Wars sets summer 2013
75025 Jedi Defender will be neat. But if it's priced like the Sith Fury, it'll probably be a pass for me. I wish they would release polys/minis of the Old Republic ships.
