Yawn, nothing to get too excited about unless they have a good sale that day.
Re: LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Hoth Minifigure (May 4th, 2013 E
Yeah, I might pick this one up on Ebay in a year. It doesn't excite me at all, I think LEGO should have made a never-before produced figure. May the 4th would be the perfect time to do so, but alas, we must settle for another Han.

Re: LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Hoth Minifigure (May 4th, 2013 E
I think that more people than not are very underwhelmed by this figure. I think there are sooooo many other figures not yet produced that could have been used, or at least something chromed (like an R2) or in a special color scheme. Sure this is a new Han in a joke color (he was blue in the Hoth scene) but it just feels so normal that I find myself not caring much at all about it. Unless there are some crazy outstanding deals I am going to skip.

Now if it was a 24k solid gold Han.......
Why do we drive on a parkway and park on a driveway?

Booooo, too many Han Solo minifigures has already been released. This what-so promo gift isn't great enought to motivate me shopping on May 4th.
TLG, don't you have better idea?

Re: LEGO Star Wars Han Solo Hoth Minifigure (May 4th, 2013 E
Right off the top of my head I'm thinking a Darth Nihilus minifig would have been neato and fairly simple to make. Standard black legs and hood, simplified torso print and a neato unique head print. A distinct lightsaber hilt would be cool but not necessary. C'mon TLG, make it happen.
That said, even though I am also underwhelmed by brown-coat Han, I'm still going to want one for my collection. I'm guessing these will range anywhere from $15-30 aftermarket, so I look at this as more of a "spend $75, get $15 off" kind of deal. Guess it's time to lay off the Star Wars sets so I have something I actually want to buy when this deal hits.
If this hood piece is furry it would be a nice piece imo. The Kre-O GI Joe blind bags had a generic commander minifig with a furry hairpiece, neatest hairpiece I've seen in a while.

I want a better trash compactor monster. The one you build with the Deathstar looks droidish.....Want one with molded parts.

Yeah, saw the GI-Joe stuff the other day and like World of Warcraft and Starcraft from Megabloks, or Transformer and this from Kre-O, I wonder if Lego could design better figures and sets if they get the license.Wheeefun wrote:Right off the top of my head I'm thinking a Darth Nihilus minifig would have been neato and fairly simple to make. It seems the hood piece has been recycled from CMF5 Ice Fisherman.Wheeefun wrote: If this hood piece is furry it would be a nice piece imo. The Kre-O GI Joe blind bags had a generic commander minifig with a furry hairpiece, neatest hairpiece I've seen in a while.

It's also actually the same as the one Solo has in set 7879 - "Hoth Echo Base" just in different colour, a dark blue one this one was.legohunter wrote:It seems the hood piece has been recycled from CMF5 Ice Fisherman.Wheeefun wrote: If this hood piece is furry it would be a nice piece imo.
